The food was amazing !! We purchased food catering for 65, from the drop and go menu for our wedding. It was absolutely delicious, the chicken and potato salad were such a big hit with the guests, as well as myself and husband! I was snacking on the potato salad all night long. Very professional business, clearly experienced and overall just very easy to work with. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and spoke with via email was very kind. Their prices are also GREAT and really Hard to beat!! If I had to redo our wedding, I wouldn’t change a thing about the food catering and would choose Thompson Catering again.
Thompson Catering provided food for our wedding in September 2025. They were amazing to work with from the start. We had several special dietary requests and they were very accommodating. Mike was willing to answer any of our questions and did so in a timely manner. Their staff was very friendly on the day of the wedding and even checked in with us to see if we wanted more to eat. Best of all, the guests raved about meal! We would 100% recommend Thompson Catering to anyone having a special event in the Central Kentucky area.
When our youngest son got engaged, we knew who we would call to do the catering. We used Thompson Catering for our oldest son's wedding and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you Thompson Catering for an amazing meal for both the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding. It made our job so much easier that Thompson Catering could provide the meals, tents with string lights, and table and chairs. They have an awesome team who set up the tents, tables & chairs, served the food, attended the bar and cleaned up at the end of the night. We were able to enjoy the night with our guest because they are such professionals at what they do. Thanks to everyone at Thompson Catering
I am not generally a big reviewer but lord was I impressed by this operation. My wedding took place on March 25th of this year and in the months leading up to it I tried reaching out to numerous caterers and Thompson Catering got back to me in the most efficient and professional manner as compared to the others I’d spoken to. They answered all of my questions in a straightforward and helpful manner. Their contracts did not hold hidden clauses as I also experienced with another place on my journey to discover the caterer for me. But let’s get to the heart of the matter…the food and the service. When I say the food was AMAZING I mean it! Even the pickiest eaters amongst our group (the kids) found something they couldn’t help but love. And by far the best thing about Thompson Catering is the staff. They took care of me and my husband. They went above and beyond to ensure I was never without a drink and I had all the support I needed. They were so friendly and prepared for the event that I honestly don’t believe I have ever been to another wedding that the food situation went as smoothly as ours did. And that was 100% on the staff. Should I ever need another event catered I WILL be reaching out to them. 10/10 would recommend.
Great experience working with Thompson’s Catering for our annual Christmas party. Good food, very organized and great to work with. Definitely recommend and will use for future events!
