I checked out this place with my family this past weekend for the first time. We were hoping to find a hidden gem and it seemed promising at first! The appetizers were good, focaccia bread was to die for. I definitely ordered the wrong thing because the fillet was possibly the most disappointing I’ve eaten. I tasted my husband‘s pasta and it was good. The the reason I’m writing the review though is because of the interaction we had with the manager or owner that was on duty. As we finished our meal, he came by the table to thank us for trying out the restaurant, and as he said, supporting a small business… He said his spiel, and my husband began to reply. In the middle of my husband‘s first sentence the man turned and flounced away as he was speaking. Everyone at the table sat there dumbfounded watching as he crossed the room back over to the hostess stand. It was so rude but also just odd. Either he did it purposely OR he was just so unaware of his surroundings & rushing out HIS speech, he couldn’t be bothered to notice someone spoke back to him in return. The waiter was actually good but I rated service low because of this interaction with manager. We dont mind spending $400 on dinner but this was not worth the price tag.
This is hands down the best Italian food I have ever had in my life! My husband and I were running errands in the area and made the spontaneous decision to have an early dinner here. We are so happy we went. The service was impeccable. We ordered the bread service which was accompanied by the best olive oil I have ever tasted (and I am very picky about olive oil). We also got the octopus, zucchini, gnocchi and lamb entree. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We plan to come back and bring family members. Just FYI there is a dress code (nothing too crazy though)!
First time to this awesome restaurant amazing food great service great help I love supporting small business. You can’t go wrong. We ordered three different dishes and added the pictures in here. They were amazing.
My husband and I ate here for the first time this evening with friends that have been to Toscana many times. We just returned from Italy and found the food here so authentic and of high quality. There is a great variety on the menu. The entrees include a first course appetizer/salad. We had the Arancini and Burrata and loved them both. Our entrees were bolognese and gnocchi and they were mouth watering good. It has a wonderful ambiance, a nice bar area and a great outdoor patio. No surprise that it won best new restaurant by the Phoenix New Times. We will be back and will tell our friends about Toscana.
My wife and I dined here on Friday, 9/26/2025. We began our meal with the Burrata and a Grilled Seafood Salad which were both awesome! Our main course was a New York Strip for my wife and a Fillet of Beef for me. We both had a side of Crispy potatoes which were amazing. When I say that these steaks were the best we’ve ever eaten, I am not exaggerating. The Fillet was melt in your mouth good and the New York Strip was cooked to perfection and so darn good! Our server was Scott and he was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. The owner, Angelo, made a point to check in with us to see how we were doing and if everything was satisfactory! If we weren’t from out of town, we would definitely make a weekly visit to Toscana.
