When you go to Ulta, or at least this location, be weary of what you wear (despite what the store commentator will say after posting this review). I dont want more people to needlessly experience the annoyance and offense I did. I unfortunately chose to wear my casual baggy clothes and a drawstring purse that I did not think to close until after the visit. I ended up being targeted to have an employee monitoring me at every aisle I went. I was trying to sample what products they had that were in the range of what I was looking for because I am the type to not buy $40 beauty products just like that. People are not made of money. Not sure the lady manager thinks about this :-) I can see where they were coming from but it obviously left me feeling offput to go to an ulta again. I probably will, just when I really need to. Thankfully I have found an alternative to sampling makeup that is working for me. Anyhow, they really need to have some sort of bag lockers up front or lock up their products and display only their samples if theft is such an issue.
Mary at Ulta is an absolute gem. My husband and I went in with a simple plan: he was going to repurchase the same cologne he always gets. That plan quickly changed once we started testing other scents and he became a little overwhelmed (he’s very indecisive). Enter Mary — truly a fragrant fairy godmother. She took the time to ask my husband what colognes he already owns and what kinds of scents he likes, and from there she thoughtfully curated options that were spot-on. Every single fragrance she suggested ended up being a hit, which says a lot about how knowledgeable she is. She eventually introduced us to Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Paradise Garden Eau de Parfum, which my husband instantly fell in love with and chose. Then she casually mentioned there was a women’s version as well. I wasn’t even planning on buying a perfume for myself, but once we smelled Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle Paradise Garden, my husband was obsessed and surprised me with it. What made the experience even more special is that this all happened close to closing time, yet Mary never rushed us. She was patient, kind, and genuinely invested in helping us find the perfect fragrances. I truly can’t say enough good things about her — she was so sweet, incredibly knowledgeable, and such a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you, Mary, for making our experience unforgettable. Ulta is very lucky to have you!
I recently had a checkout experience at your store that left me feeling underwhelpful. I opted to receive my receipt via email, only to be informed that there was no email on file. I expected the cashier to offer assistance in adding my email, but instead, I was simply told there was no email on file. I would have appreciated it if the staff had taken the initiative to help me add my email or explained the process more clearly. As a customer, it's frustrating to feel like I'm not being offered the best service possible. I hope you consider emphasizing the importance of proactive customer service to your team, especially when it comes to simple tasks like adding email addresses for digital receipts. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a more positive experience in the future.
This Ulta store is one of my favorites! Richard (the GM) and Becky (the manager) are two of the KINDEST employees I’ve met. They kept their composure when a customer was being extremely rude to them. The whole store team is kind and welcoming. I will definitely be coming here for all of my makeup needs.
On Google maps, it shows this Ulta location being inside Best Buy, and one of the gaming aisles. I assure you it is not inside Best Buy, but it is next-door. Like any chain that takes care to maintain its identity, this Ulta store looks pretty much like any other. They have all of the things that you’d expect, including skin care, products, hair dyes, grooming, products, make up, as well as a saloon in the back. My voice recognition replaced salon with saloon, I’m not going to fix it because it would be more fun if there was actually a saloon in the back. There are a ton of people working here, so it is always a simple matter to find somebody if you have a question. Like all make up stores, everything seems tremendously overpriced to me, but I guess that’s just how it is.
