I’ve never been more disgusted with urban air. The staff I spoke with was extremely unprofessional and rude. I tried explaining to the manager that one of their staff members were hooking the children harness on incorrect. She looked right pass me in shoes no attention. There was many and sentences that were not right with our visit here at urban air this time. I’ve addressed it with this manager on duty and nothing was done. We will not be returning to this location again. We visited urban air on January 31st.
We came on a VERY cold Friday morning for their 5 and under play time and everyone was super friendly and my 2yo and her friends had a blast. If I suggest anything before visiting - fill out the waiver prior to entering so that your check in process goes smoothly. There were some issues with internet and filling out the form when we got there and it slowed things down slightly.
We visited Urban Air on a Saturday night with my son and a few of his friends, so it was very busy and pretty chaotic, as expected. The kids had a great time and truly enjoyed themselves. I especially wanted to call out Phoebe at the concession stand. She was working completely solo with a long line of people, and you could tell she was deep in the weeds. Even so, she handled everything amazingly. She stayed positive, friendly, and efficient despite how crazy it was. Her attitude really stood out and made the experience better for everyone waiting.
My family attended a birthday party here yesterday. Multiple children in our party reported to the adults that a little boy was throwing balls at their face and harassing them. I decided to stay close by the children while they continued to play. Then children outside of our party that were just patronizing the facility, told me not to go down the enclosed slide because a little boy was inside yelling at the children and scarring them. My 5 year old daughter said that she was scared. So I decided to go down with her while holding my 10 month old baby. Sure enough the kid starts yelling at her and blocking her from going down the slide. She covered her ears, started crying and saying “please stop, I don’t like that”. I was at the top of the slide and couldn’t get down fast enough before she tried to climb back up, screaming and crying. I should have went first but I was moving too slow with my baby. Once I got through, the boy started screaming at me to scare me. He saw that I was a grown up and immediately went down the slide and took off. The kids all knew which boy it was displaying these behaviors. After reporting it to the manager Dan, he stated that he told the boy that the behavior was not allowed. I said respectfully, please find his parents and inform them as they may be unaware of his behavior. Dan said “well there are no cameras inside the slide, so I don’t know what happened”. As if I didn’t just inform him of what occurred. Anyway, my daughter continued to cry about it and we eventually left. She kept saying that she was scared. I asked the workers for a manger above Dan that I could speak to. They said it was Mike and that they couldn’t give me any more information and that I needed to go online. Ok. We won’t be back and I guess this review is all that we can do. Sad. We took this photo right before going down the slide. That little boy and his parents should have been asked to leave. Unfortunately our time was cut because Dan didn’t take our safety concerns seriously regarding inappropriate behavior and conduct. He could have at least attempted to inform the parents and gave them a warning. He said that he told the boy to cut it out an that he’s gone monitor him as if he’s the boys Father. Just weird and unprofessional. UPDATE to the owners response. You don’t care about our distress. You saw our distress and did nothing. What’s the point of this generic response when you could have prioritized our safety to ensure an enjoyable experience and you literally chose not too. I understand that you naturally don’t care and give this same response to every complaint. There is no team to give my feedback to as this was completely mishandled by the manager. Stop with the generic responses. It’s weirder than the actual incident and we both know you don’t care.
