We went a few days before Christmas looking for greens to decorate our window boxes. They didn’t have much left and what they did have was expensive! The woman who helped us was great and we were able to get enough greens and decorations to make our window boxes look great! Just wish it was a bit cheaper.
I’m a horticulture student and came by for a look recently while in the area, as I’d seen the positive reviews while looking around for shops in the past. I have to be honest and say that it did not live up to the hype…in fact, my expectations were crushed so expertly that I was actually a little horrified by the whole experience. It’s unfortunately very easy to tell just by taking a cursory look around that management does not know what they are doing. The plants were all very dehydrated, stressed, and dusty, and most were either infested with pests or littered with damage to the point of being unsellable. Everything was also massively overpriced, and not in the usual “small shop” way—even the common plants were completely unaffordable, I noticed, and therefore even more hilariously priced for the condition they were in. Im sorry for this, truly, but I can’t say that I left the store feeling anything but disgust and regret after having to pay for parking and walk several blocks just to be left so utterly disappointed. To add insult to injury, the entire store reeked of cigarette smoke and…pee? I’m really not sure. But it was really unpleasant. Got some excellent ice cream down the street, though, so not all was lost. I really hope that the owner takes these negative reviews as real criticism, and actually takes a step back, because I think this shop could go back to being a real hoot if they just did things a little differently. I’d really love to visit again at some point and have a more positive experience, but that’s not what it was this time. All love.
Brought in this planter looking for advice on what to put in it. The staff were so helpful and sweet and helped me improve my little memorial for my dog that passed away. Also very affordable!
It's a really cool place, although because of the season there weren't many varieties, but the ones that were there, were very nice. I got a trailing jade, which is gorgeous. Plus, the staff was really nice. Probably we'll go back in the spring or summer.
We were very disappointed because they were highly recommended but our overall opinion is very basic selection at marked up prices for plants and including pots/etc. Up to 3x-4x mark-up. You can drive 30 min or less anywhere for cheaper selection. The 2 closer/most popular plant stores both offer more, including exotics, rarer plants if you're looking for more. Best example on pricing: Monstera Deliciousa can be found for $20-$40 for the same size they were selling at $80.
