Lovely, place and lovely staff. We have left our cat here 3 times, and so far are very happy with the service. They make sure all pets are properly vaccinated, attended and well-cared for. I especially love the fact that they post pictures of your pet on their social media (if you agree to it), so we can always keep an eye on our fluffy boy.

My cat Boykie has been going to these facilities since he was 6 months old and he’s now 13 years old. He is so happy and contented when he boards. When he comes home he is always healthy and his coat gleams. They play with the animals and the pictures show just how happy they all are. I would thoroughly recommend Valley Kennels & Cattery. Boarding facilities are second to none. 5* from me.

Ramsay has had many “holidays” at Valley Kennels for long and short stays. He is always looked after and, in an embarrassing moment, once ran back in when I went to pick him up! The staff are great. He has 2 visits booked for this year and I need to book his 2026 holiday!

The BEST kennels we have ever used, our dog does not like to be left anywhere other than Valley. From the welcoming staff to the underfloor heating, the walls and the chance for her to play with other dogs, they are excellent. We can see the pictures of our pet on social media while we are on holiday and she always looks happy and contented. The daycare facilities look just as exceptional as the boarding. Really debated whether to post a negative review or not but don't want other dogs being neglected like my Golden Retriever. The website says that dogs will get walks in the forest, free walking in a grass paddock or even group walks but he seemed to only get some solo time in the concrete play area. The weather was amazing so I thought he would get out and about. Upon dropping Benny off, we were told he wouldn't be mixed with other dogs at all due to no other dogs his size, then the unpleasant woman stormed off. From looking at the updates on their Facebook page, there were multiple other large dogs including labradors and Retrievers so this was disappointing. We booked this with good intentions that Benny would be walked and mingle with other dogs but none of this happened. He is a friendly dog so we expected him to social with other dogs. They stay in concrete floored kennels and Benny was returned with blood stained elbows and sores presumably from laying on concrete too long. We had given them two blankets for Benny to lay/sleep on and I doubt they were even handed to Benny. Benny only stayed there for 6 days and I'm disappointed in the state he came back in. The staff never said anything about his elbows/sores, they probably didn't even notice. If you really care for your dog, please go somewhere else.
