Gary was very thorough investigating our water heater issue of not staying on. He explained all options and prices along with pros and cons without trying to upsell. Bryan and Kyle returned two weeks later (worked for our schedule) and completed our installation of the water heater. They were very efficient and professional. I was pleased with their communication.

HVAC. After moving into a 4 year old house in Allendale, I called and requested a furnace tune up and assessment. We had been told by our home inspector that it appeared undersized and the house was indeed chilly. Vander Hyde performed some diagnostic tests but no cleaning of the unit or lubrication of internal components which is normally part of annual maintenance in my experience. When I called, I also asked that they bring out a new filter to no avail. We also wanted to add a humidifier and I asked about the furnace possibly being undersized. They rattled off humidifier pricing but never followed up with written quotes for the humidifier or possible solutions for our chilly circumstances. No follow-up. I felt like we were no better off than when we started so I called another HVAC company, Sullivans. They confirmed that both the original furnace and AC were very undersized. (Since confirmed again by the township inspector.) 40,000 btu and 2 ton respectively for a 2900 sqft home. We talked options and, based on our plans to stay put for a while, we ended up replacing both units and added another return vent to improve air flow in the lower level.

We had a great experience with VanderHyde. We called late Friday afternoon and were scheduled right away for Monday morning, which we really appreciated. Bryson was our technician and he was punctual, professional, and very kind. He took the time to explain everything clearly and completed the service efficiently. What can I say? Mr. Gavin came in very knowledgeable quick and efficient got his measurements in crunch. Some numbers made some helpful suggestions. All of our questions were answered. There was no pressure to make a sale. Although we did make the purchase, we trust Vanderheyden, our new friend Gavin

We had a great experience with VanderHyde. Their texting system made it incredibly easy to reach out, and they responded to our inquiry within minutes. We thought our water heater was failing, but they were able to schedule an appointment just a few hours later to take a look. Andrew arrived promptly and was kind, honest, and thorough. He quickly identified the real issue and suggesting what he would do to prevent further issues while also noting he would need to get the parts, so the install would be the following day. Andrew completed the water-heater extension installation and sump pump repair and explained everything clearly. Quick and excellent service from start to finish! Thank you!
