This is probably one of the best vets that my family has been to. When my family and I had to put down our little boy the employees and vet showed a lot of compassion and empathy in such a hard time. They didn’t rush us and generally made the experience a lot more easier for me to go through. They also give you a lot of meaningful items to remember our dog including their fur and flower seeds to plant in memory. Something I won’t forget is a few weeks later the clinic had mailed us a card giving their condolences for our loss. This was very moving for me and even though my dog’s visit wasn’t the outcome I wanted I am glad I was able to meet these kind people. Would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone. ❤️❤️
My service dog went in after an attack by a pitbull at Punawai . This is what happened . The vet saw him . Brought her out . I noticed one of my bags went missing in the vets office . Her things and their food was in there . When the police came to take the theft report . The doctor took Lia back into the exam room . It took me some time to find out why . He didn’t want to answer any questions so he hid with my injured dog and when she came out she looked fine but a few days later . I find an open wound on the back of her neck . There were 2 staff members that saw me bring the bag in . All of a sudden . They forget . She said , no charge and I wondered why . They didn’t keep the code and do anything . The vet’s code is the animal comes first but to them . It’s money . I told them my brother would pay . He always does. In fact he’s paying for her care at her regular vet . Dr Hummel at Mililani Mauka . That’s dishonest . To take the dog to not answer questions from law enforcement . There are cameras outside and if you’re reading this . That was pretty low stealing her collar and leash . I have video receipts of everything because everything you stole I ordered off apps . Too late to trash everything . The camera took pictures . I’m going to prosecute to the fullest extent and get answers from the vet . Look at the pic . Does that look like I’m bluffing ? I want you all to look at the high reviews . Do they look poor and how come only our stuff is unaccounted for ? Wait…There was only an old man and old woman . If the cameras show they didn’t walk off with and I certainly didn’t . That would only leave the staff members and the doctor . You guy’s better pray the cameras malfunctions but then again . If it does . That’ll prove you took it . This review is now going viral…
When our Bunny girl got sick, I was too worried to wait for the appointment she had the next morning, and brought her to VERC. The staff at VERC all treated Bunny with such compassion and care, and I felt safe leaving her in their hands for treatment. Her rapid decrease was sudden, confusing, and one of the hardest times of our lives. However, Bunny's doctor was amazing. She kept us very informed while she was staying at the hospital, and helped talk me and my husband through about our options, being honest and open about what each option would look like while still being compassionate, all of which was truly what I needed in that moment. I made the impossible choice to let her go, and the staff at VERC made it as smooth and comfortable as it could be. We were allowed as much time as we needed, and when the time came, her doctor was so incredibly supportive and exactly what me and my husband needed at the time. The clinic also offered us free clippings of her fur, and a clay paw print. These gifts will be remembered forever, just like Bunny. The handwritten card from the staff with condolences that I received in the mail a few weeks later was just the cherry on top of the amazing kindness VERC has shown us in this hard time. I know that all the staff at VERC tried their absolute hardest to save her, and did an amazing job of making her last moments calm, comfortable, and surrounded by love. In the chaos and grief of it all, even having been told the name of her doctor multiple times, I cannot remember it, but I remember her. I will remember her forever. I was so moved that I crocheted a small cat for her. I hope that cat serves of a reminder to the staff that they are so appreciated for the work that they do, that our thanks will forever be extended to the VERC staff, and that we will remember the kindness shown to us and my sweet Bunny girl forever.
My ten year old Pomeranian suddenly could not stand or walk because the left side of his body seemed paralyzed. We first visited our regular vet who told us to watch him and if things got worse, to take him to VERC. We were very concerned so called VERC and were told we should bring our dog down right away. Throughout our experience with VERC, the entire staff was very knowledgeable and extremely caring. They understood that we were emotionally stressed and did everything they could to comfort and reassure us. They took time to thoroughly explain the diagnosis and answered all concerns. Every person we dealt with was very caring and knowledgeable. They allowed us to come down to the facility and spend as much time as we needed with our dog. We were never rushed or treated rudely. In fact, the entire staff was so compassionate and kind. SThe facility is very clean and spacious with many individual rooms for consultations. I am so grateful for my experience with VERC and can confidently recommend VERC to anyone needing emergency services for their pets.
I am positive that this review will not do this facility justice. I can not express enough how grateful I am for VERC. Not only did they take excellent care of our sweet (but sometimes naughty) Ester but they were kind and caring toward this helicopter dog mom. From the front desk, to the techs, to the doctors...every person was compassionate, patient and informative. They were absolutely incredible. An extra shout out to the tech, Abby, who took the time to understand Ester's previous trauma and figure out the best way to treat her ~ so grateful.
