10/10! Great service. The food is top notch. This was my second time, trying sushi; my first experience was not the best but this time I was very pleased. This location also does all you can eat (not all locations do). I would highly recommend Valcano in Norfolk!
Went here for dinner Wednesday night around 6 pm. Was craving sushi and wanted to try some things I haven’t before, so decided to go back to volcano again. Inside was packed, but we didn’t have a wait time at all. Waitress was quick to get our drink orders and shortly after, put in our food. To drink, I tried the Royal Flush (9/10), I loved the flavor. For appetizer, I had the Soft shell crab (10/10) and Gyoza dumplings (8/10) they were decent, not super flavorful as before. For sushi, I tried the Sea angel (10/10), Lobster cha cha (8.5/10) it was a little lacking in overall taste for me, Red dragon (7/10) and Yellowtail with Jalepeno (7/10); both were just okay to me. My goal is to try a new roll / menu item every time I visit, so of course, I’ll be back again in the future. Love the options they have on the menu compared to other all u can eat sushi spots; volcano is still on the top of my list. My overall rate of experience : 8.5/10
I’ve been here twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch with the crew. They run an all-you-can-eat menu and you can genuinely eat as much as you want. The menu is huge, and even if you’re not into sushi there’s plenty of alternatives, fried rice, noodles, teriyaki, wontons, nuggets, fries, and more. The sushi isn’t high-end, but for the price the quality is surprisingly good. Both times the place was packed, so expect a wait before getting seated. Dinner service was on the slower side, but nothing unreasonable. Overall it’s a solid spot with good food and excellent value for money. I’d definitely go back.
This is by far my favorite spot to eat in the area. The price is unbeatable for the value and quality of the food. It’s only $16.99 for AYCE sushi for lunch. Dinner price is a bit more but they have more options. Do yourself a favor and try any handroll - they’re so good! The fish is incredibly fresh and there’s a very good rice to fish ratio. They also have 2 of my favorites: surf clam and octopus for dinner. Definitely try this place out!
Absolutely wonderful experience at Volcano Sushi Asian Bistro! The sushi was exceptionally fresh and flavorful — each roll was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. The presentation was inviting, and everything on our table looked just as good as it tasted. We especially loved how balanced the flavors were — nothing felt too heavy or too salty, just perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. We genuinely felt welcomed and cared for, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is spotless and cozy, with a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for a meal with friends. Parking was super easy too — plenty of street spots nearby. If you’re looking for a place that combines great quality sushi, warm service, and a pleasant vibe, this is definitely it. Highly recommend — we’ll be coming back for sure!
