Working with Joe at West Chester Dog Training has been a game changer for our dog and family. Our 1 year old Bernedoodle was extremely reactive and my husband and I struggled with him, especially once we brought our newborn home from the hospital. We were nervous with a new baby in the house and a 80 lb dog. Some family members recommended Joe and he was able to get us scheduled for our first session in less than a week. We saw an instant change in our dog after just the first session with Joe. Our dog was actually responding to the training and to us. Joe helped equip us with the skills we needed to carry on training throughout the weeks between sessions. After working with Joe, our dog is a much better family dog, is more enjoyable to be around, and respects us much more than he did prior to training. We actually look forward to family walks now that we can better control our dog - and he's much happier too! I'd recommend Joe to anyone looking to have a better, more enjoyable relationship with their dog.

Today my dog and I had our first training with Joe. He was very personable and knowledgeable. We spent a lot of time training on a proper walk which involved mostly me learning how to walk my dog. The training steps were so simple, such as properly holding the leash, how and when to give corrections, etc. but a lot to grasp when I’ve been doing it wrong for so many years. However his patience and reminders helped me along the way. I’m definitely learning the training doesn’t end after the session and Joe gave me lots of pointers to work on before our next session. It was sweet to see my dog curled up next to him at the end of the training especially when she went to meet him she was barking with her hair raised. I’m looking forward to the confidence both my dog and I can gain from working with Joe.

I am so lucky to have found West Chester Dog training! Joe has been incredible to work with! We are almost done with our training and the progress we have made is unbelievable! My 10 month old Bernese, Reese was jumping, biting and barking none stop. She still has her moments but to say she’s is a different dog is an understatement. My bond with Reece has grown tremendously as we’ve learned new tricks and been able to go on adventures! Before we started training with Joe, it was a struggle to go on walks and now walking and hiking is our favorite thing to do! I recommend West Chester Dog Training to anyone who is struggling with their dog, it has made such a difference in our lives! We are both happier for it!

We are so grateful for Joe! We were worried about raising a stereotypical “little dog”. Yapping, jumping, growling etc. Upon first meeting Joe he assured us that with some time and a little effort we could have a dog everyone enjoyed. Joe included our whole family. He is patient, thorough, and honest. We are so happy that our little Maltipoo is growing into a pleasant, happy and confident “little dog”.

We had our first session today with Joe and this was the first time I have done anything to do with training dogs. It was awesome, Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. He helped my 5-year-old daughter and wife learn as well. The main training was with my 6-month-old boxer pup and the knowledge and training methods he used were almost immediate my pup started walking correctly on leash and obeying some commands. Also yes you can teach old dogs new tricks. Because I also have an 8-year-old hound Rottweiler mix and he started slow but Joe helped get him right in line with the training we were doing with the boxer pup. It will take a lot of work on our part to get a routine down but what we put into it. With the training help from Joe, we will get a lot out of it. Joe has made the process easy and if I have any questions I can just call or shoot him a text. You can also tell he loves what he does. He wanted pics of the dogs and got to know them. Joe wasn't in it just to get a paycheck. Speaking of that. From what research I have done his prices were very on par with others or even cheaper which was the cherry on top. Thank you again, Joe. And I would highly recommend Joe and West Chester Dog Training. Can't wait for our next session!!
