I’m not the smartest guy. It takes me a bit longer than others to understand new stuff. I’ve been training here for a little over a month and I cannot say enough good things about coach Jacob Lee, his patience with me, and how much I feel like I progressed because of his great ability to teach slower people like myself. I never had a coach work with me before as patience as coach Lee. This gym is worth every penny
It's heart warming to see how a community like this can continue to help you improve. This isn't a gym, its a whole vibe. I've never seen so many people become such extreme before and after transformations. "The Boogie Man" Richie Martinez and his wife Norah do wonders for all the people who come thru
I was kicked out pretty much immediately after asking if the main owner (not boogie) was a creep because he seemed like a creep and recorded me specifically even tho I asked not to be recorded. Literally out of spite or some control issue, extremely unprofessional. Haven't had any issues in any other gym 🤷♀️🤦♀️ its a shame Manolo works here because im never coming back. Oh the official reason was for smoking weed! The biggest thing in this sport is trust and respect. I would not have handled someone questioning their safety in this gym that way! Alls im saying
10th Planet San Diego is phenomenal! The staff, including coaches like Boogeyman and Manolo, are elite yet patient, making complex techniques accessible. The gym's clean environment is a huge plus! The community feels like family—unmatched in San Diego. It’s perfect whether you’re a serious competitor or just aiming to get in shape. Highly recommend!
Amazing place for kids! My grandson is five years old and already learning real jujitsu here. The staff is incredible—patient, caring, and truly committed to teaching the little ones. Not only is my grandson learning, but he’s also having so much fun. On top of that, their monthly price is the best in San Diego! Highly recommend.
