I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to the people here. I’m super picky with my nails and I usually go in with designs, not every place can actually execute them the way you envision, but this salon always delivers exactly what I ask for. The attention to detail is amazing, the results are consistent, and everyone is so friendly and professional. I always leave happy, which honestly says a lot. This is officially my go-to nail place and I wouldn’t trust my nails anywhere else.

So glad I tried this new-to-me salon! The first thing I noticed about A Nail Story was the entire team busily cleaning before opening. It was impressive how spotless everything was. Every surface gleamed, the technicians wore clean uniforms, and all the equipment used for my pedicure came from a sterilized kit. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, with warm Christmas scenes playing on the screens and lovely holiday music in the background. Tea and chocolate were served too 😄 Hana took expert care of me. She was friendly, cheerful, and genuinely caring, and she did a beautiful job. I started with the Volcano Pedicure, which included an aromatherapy foot bath, scrub, and creams. There are many scent options on the menu, and I treated myself to flowery fragrances. I also had a Deluxe Manicure with shellac. Hana was very gentle and professional, and I felt completely comfortable throughout. My mani-pedi is perfect! The paraffin treatment at the end made me feel especially pampered. I loved this place so much that I bought a gift card for a Christmas present. It even came with a bag and lotion! Highly recommend Hana and A Nail Story!
“A Nail Story” located in Kensington at : 314 10 St NW, Calgary AB T2N 1V8 LOVE this nail salon since day 1 as they’ve always been kind, friendly, welcoming and even offer everyone water & tea upon arrival. Services can be booked easily over the phone or from their website and they send a reminder text confirming your appointment which is super helpful!! My favourite type of nail service is with the Solar Powder line (see red / green nails in photos attached) which appear like literal glass on your hands, are super durable and are able to be formed to your nail bed into any desired shape. I used a nail extension as a tip then the solar powder on top and the gel colour for the top coat which has helped my otherwise weak nails to grow out while providing reliable beautiful strong nails that I can rely on working with various equipment/machinery/tools and cleaning supplies at my job. They are almost always right on schedule and cause clients to wait long, oftentimes even starting earlier than scheduled if their staff are free and have been willing to book on the same day which was very appreciated when I broke a nail while at work. Their bathroom, furniture, and all equipment/tools are kept super clean and the salon as a whole is tidy and well taken care of. Most times the space is accompanied by diverse music and lively conversations, though you’re welcome to listen to your own music/audiobooks/other with your headphones. I personally prefer keeping my sunglasses on during my appointments as the lights and light coloured walls/tables are bright for me which has never been an issue to accommodate.
