Starting off 2026 with one of my favorite-est people and fellow foodie my baby Sis @yourvirginiahomegirl! After an early lunch @fatdragonrva we moseyed on over to @afterglow_coffee for a little pick me up and when I say this is the vibe, I mean just that! Coffee brewed how we like it, pastry and bagel (they served @baltiksbagel iykyk) and the customer care was excellent! Next time you want a great cup of joe (and they offer other beverages to include wine) go give them a try.

Such a cool spot! Stopped into Afterglow and the cappuccino was 10/10. It was super busy and the tables were pretty much packed, but the vibe was still really nice and chill. Picked up a bag of whole beans on my way out, too. Also, love that they’re a no-tipping cafe—it’s so refreshing and makes checkout a breeze. Definitely worth a visit!

Afterglow is the best coffee not only in RVA, but in the state of Virginia. This incredible coffee shop is more than just a place to enjoy a local pastry or bagel with your exception coffee but a community hub. The baristas are phenomenal. Not only amazing at making drinks, but just incredible humans. Afterglow makes it hard to ever want to go to any other place to get coffee. They are elite.

First time here. First impressions Great aroma inside, there was a long line, but it went fast. Limited food menu, but with this many customers a kitchen would just slow it down. The focaccia is fantastic, warm and fresh. I got it with the carrot spread which had great impact, especially with the cayenne. I also appreciate the EVO drizzle. Healthy snack. Cortado with whole milk was also very very good, served in the XL shot glass. I have no complaints. Baristas were kind and efficient with customers. I guess I just wish there was a while sandwich I could order. If you have a baker this good, then assembled Sammie’s would be easy. Like a bahn mi, or caprese Or baba ganush Or prosciutto, arugula and tomato with cheese. Would definitely come back.

love it here! Coffee and specialty beverages are amazing! The matcha- pandan latte is perfect and aromatic, never too bitter. Love the pastries they bring in! Can be hard to get a seat on the weekends (especially after 2 when all the other coffee shops are closed) but love that it's open late AND serves well-picked wine by the glass. And the staff are absolute chillers, they have done an excellent job with this place.
