In Chesapeake for business, stayed in the Greenbrier area and wanted Mexican food. This was just the closest and upon entering you’re not sure if this is going to be your typical experience as its decor is more simple. My colleague and I were amazed! Great margaritas (we asked to tweak for more agave, orange liqueur and top shelf tequila)! But the BEST was the MOLCAJETE!! Incredible!! I travel here often so it will be visited frequently!!
I have ordered from Agave Azul a few times on DoorDash. Food is always hot and fresh. But I went into the restaurant on yesterday. I was greeted promptly and seated. I had looked up the menu prior; I wanted the Birria Ramen with the 3 birria tacos. Oh My Goodness!! Delicious!!! Limes, chillis and cilantro and onions on the side. So much food! Then I wanted a pupusa too!!! I got a chicken and cheese.I have lunch and a little dinner for today!!!
Salty. Crispy Tacos - Not much flavour. I probably ordered the wrong thing. Carne asada Quesadilla tasked like salty cheese. Even salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Horchata was too sweet. 1st time I did not drink my Horchata🙁
The best Mexican food I have tasted around here in Chesapeake. The service was excellent atmosphere is great. Very prompt service. We will be dining here again. My baby girl had the chicken nuggets, I had the fish tacos and my wife had the virgin Piña colada
I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants but this place right here is the BEST. Everything was seasoned to perfection and it was fresh. When I say it was good like in Friday Makes you wanna slap your momma lol. It was so so good. The service was A1 the restaurant was clean. The alcoholic drinks were top notch as well. This place is a gem and I will definitely be coming here again and again.
