My original review attached below. This is an edit after a year and multiple times of visit. We always had a great time here. Consistency and quality of food here is unmatched. Amazing. — Delicious food. We got chirashi bowl, sushi, agedashi tofu, udon, tempura and vegetables roll. Everything was prepared nicely. My personal favorite is the chirashi and agedashi tofu. Service was quick. Ice cream was fresh too. They take cash and cards for payment. Happy hour menu was amazing.
I called earlier in the day and was told no reservation was necessary. When my wife and I arrived (we were the first ones there), I requested to sit across from her, but instead, we were given a window seat facing the street, seated side by side — not ideal for conversation. The food itself was excellent. Everything is à la carte, and the menu offers a wide variety of options, which is great. However, the menu is spread across multiple sheets, which makes it a bit cumbersome. It would be helpful if it were consolidated into fewer pages. Also, they only provide a few menus for the whole table to share, which makes it awkward to pass them around. Service was another area that could use improvement. Our server came to take our order very quickly, without giving us enough time to look over the extensive menu. When food arrived, the staff often seemed unsure of which dish belonged to whom. We also had a small issue with a lemon wedge. My wife and I both wanted lemon with our water, but we were given only one wedge to share. When I asked for more, the server repeatedly mentioned that there would be an extra charge. I understand there may be a policy, but repeating it multiple times felt unnecessary and off-putting. More courtesy and attentiveness would have gone a long way.
The resturant is inside the building, they can validate your parking :) Spot shrimp sushi was sweet. Monfish live was processed perfectly, not too fishy at all. Appertizer sampler is also recommeneded. At the bluefin tuna 6 pic sashimi is the best of the night. The beef and uni bowl is just ok, I won't recommened :)
Omakase course tonight @$100 per person. Different from other Omakase restaurant. This is more like a full course KaiSeki set menu. Great value. Tasted the same as eating in Japan. House Hot Sale only @$9.5 for two people!! The Japanese hot tea 🍵 taste great is free of charge!! We will be back with more friends. Not a big restaurant. Definitely need to make reservation ahead of time 🍣
Nice Japanese Restaurant in town on King Street across from the bike shop. Lots of room in 2 big dining areas. The upper level is BYOB and has big windows and lots of light.the portions are fair and the sashimi is fresh. The staff is very nice and friendly. Don't forget, you have to request a glass of water. There are many choices on the menu so we will have to come back soon and try more.
