Older Dog very sick with pneumonia. Would not let me be with him originally. I was very forceful and the let us wait in the exam room for results. I paid in full before procedure and the got a bill for antibiotics and five days of pain meds that was almost $300. They clearly and absolutely leverage your concern for your animal to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. I felt that way immediately when they said if my dog was dying I couldn't take him home. I told him I would pay in full so there would be no issue with the money and they still wanted to hold him hostage or not treat him at all. The only reason was so they could get more money out of us. I ended up paying just because I committed to paying. I like the many other customers that have given a one star review will never ever return to this place. The empathy and compassion by the doctor was incredibly nonexistent. Some of the front desk did have empathy but they were not at all in the decision-making process.
I came here with my dog yesterday to have her euthanized. The front desk seemed to me to be a little harsh when we had first gotten there. My dad asked them “How are you?” and they answered by saying “What are you here for?” However, after this every staff member was very nice and respectful. The vet who had done the euthanizing was very nice. She was very caring and ran us through what would be happening. I am unsure of her name but she was lovely. I would recommend coming here for such a sweet veterinarian.
My baby girl Nova is the only thing I have in this world. The other night she began puking, bloody diarrhea, and hives on her face. We came in on December 26th around midnight and left at 3:15am. The staff here probably saved her life. Its been a little over 48hrs and the little turd is damn near 100%. Im not low income but Im also not rich. The vet was honest about what treatments/test were most needed and which ones were a good idea but if i couldn't afford them they could POSSIBLY wait. The vet was spot on about it all. She went back did her thing and had my baby back to me. The vet that helped us was a tall blonde young woman. If you can let her know how grateful I am I would appreciate it so much. I didnt ask for a name because i was just so stressed. You saved two lives that night ma’am. Thank you. (Ignore the bland diet thats on the floor in the pic she eats the chicken and spits out the rice lol)
I was absolutely dreading my first visit to an emergency veterinary hospital, expecting the worst during an already stressful situation. Instead, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we interacted with was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely kind. While we primarily worked with two members of the care team, every interaction with all the staff reflected professionalism and empathy. Communication was clear, reassuring, and thorough, which made all the difference. The level of care and attention to detail was truly exceptional. We are incredibly grateful and would highly recommend this team to anyone in need of emergency veterinary care. We can't thank you enough!!!
I was a little worried after reading some reviews but I had such a great experience here! I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is that they are an emergency room and need to take critical patients back first. I brought my dog in for a possible bowel obstruction and choking/vomiting episode. When we got there, they immediately took him to the weighing scale while triaging him, then took him to the back to get his vitals taken, and get assessed by a vet. After he was assessed by Dr. Lambirth, she pulled me in to a room and discussed what the plan of care was. Having a background in emergency medicine as well, she was very thorough with explaining things and had a very reasonable plan of care at every step. She was also very kind and sweet and I could tell she would recommend what she deemed best for the situation. In terms of payments, they were VERY transparent of how much I would be paying for, they gave me ranges, and made sure I was comfortable with the quote prior to having me sign the paper to move forward with the plan of care. I was there for 5 hours and whenever they had a critical patient, they would take them right back. The front desk staff and radiology tech were also great and very kind! Everyone there would try to keep me updated and I believe they gave my little guy the best care. I’m glad we got to go home & hopefully will never be back, haha. Thank you so much to all of you!
