Provided the post surgery overnight aftercare during a very stressful time. Supportive, good communication, very thorough and patient with my many questions.. I was able to sit briefly with our Zippy girl before leaving for the night.
They took great care of our dog, Macy. She had a partial blockage caused by her love for acorns. This facility and their people have a great attitude and do a wonderful job at keeping things efficient and explained thoroughly. They laid out a plan of action with options that allow YOU to collaborate with them on the best plan of action. I appreciated that they were not pushing for the most expensive plan unnecessarily. We’ll be back if - god forbid - we have another emergency!
Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas is a fantastic Vet hospital. Out 15+ YO Tibetan Terrier had a severe reaction to a new course of meds she started on New Years Eve. On New Years Day she kept getting worse so our only option for treatment was to take her to AEHoNT as our vet was closed. I called them and explained the situation. They told me to bring her in as quickly as I could. When I arrived they were able to process us quickly so we were able to get to see a tech within 15 minutes and the Vet in less than 30 minutes. We discussed the possible cause of the distress, what diagnostic work they would want to proceed with and within the hour had our girl treated and on her way home. I was impressed with the speed of response, thoroughness of investigation and conscientious approach to balancing the need for costly procedures vs. letting the symptoms play out and see if those procedures were needed. I was pleasantly surprised that the bill was as low as it was even with the holiday surcharge being applied. While I hope nobody finds themselves in need of an emergency Vet, you can be sure that they will give the best of care and only recommend what they truly believe is necessary to diagnose your pet. I give them my highest recommendation.
A beautiful Cardinal struck my storm door window. He lay still by my Cardinal flag at my walkway flowerbed. His eyes still moved, but he was very still. After CPR and Prayer, I called around Fort Worth. No one treated Wildlife. I asked for a referral to someone who might. I was referred to Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas, my last call. After sharing my Cardinal 's Plight, Nothing could be done medically, but "Wait and See" if he recovers from his concussion. I became audibly choked up with emotion and spoke in a whisper. The Receptionist/Vet entered into my sorrow and also responded in a hushed whisper. It was and Is Priceless to have Such Wonderful and Exceptional Empathy. I have been a Hospice Nurse and practiced Nursing over 30 years. Empathy and Compassion Provides Hopefunessl and Healing. You can Press Through the Difficulty with Hope and Courage, No Matter the Outcome. She told me they could take his remains if needed. I'm Very Grateful and Deeply Touched, Shedding Tears as I Write This. There has been Many Significant Deaths in my life in the past few years.
The absolute best Vet we have ever been to. We drove from Lubbock just to get some answers regarding our puppy and when we got there they already had a room ready for us with cookies and immediately got started. We were gone and fully informed by 11pm and our puppy felt better by the next morning. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
