I was hesitant to switch to a new veterinary clinic. Dr. Baker and Jasmine immediately put me at ease and took great care of my dog, Buddy. I look forward to having them help me take care of my precious little guy!

We brought our XL Bully in for allergy testing and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our veterinarian and her tech were incredibly informative, walking us through every step and clearly explaining the costs upfront. The staff was amazing, and the office was spotless. We felt very well cared for!

Bailey and I were on a 5 week road trip through SD, WY and CO. Early in week 3, Bailey fell ill, and being away from our home state and vet in WI was concerning. After reading reviews, we chose to seek care at AHCS. I arrived a half hour after opening on Wednesday, and the staff made time for us to get Bailey looked at. We did X-rays, ultrasound, and bloodwork. Ultimately it was determined she had a significant illness and immediate treatment was provided to address nausea and liver issues, as well as dehydration. Dr. Dan and his team explained every step of her needed ongoing treatment, and ensured I had an understanding of the underlying issues, and offered to consult with my vet when I arrived home. I received a follow up call on both Thursday and Friday from Dr. Dan to check on her condition and answer my questions. I’ve never experienced such diligent, thorough care, from any medical practitioner, and it meant a lot to me. We began our journey home Wednesday but only made it to RMNP on Friday before her condition worsened. Ultimately, after seeking emergency care in Loveland, she was not able to be saved. After she passed around midnight on Friday night, I was inconsolable and decided to drive the 16 hrs to get home. On Saturday morning, I received an unexpected follow up call from Dr. Dan. He was stunned by the news but spent time with me trying to better understand what had happened. I feel confident that Bailey received the best care she could have, and thank Dr. Dan and the team for taking us in without notice, as we were passing through, and giving me every possible opportunity to help Bailey. The last week has been very difficult as I reflect on the amazing 7 years I’ve had with Bailey, but If I lived nearby I would consider myself lucky to have such an amazing provider for my beloved fur baby.

I can't speak highly enough about this place. Dr. Dan and his entire team are so kind, caring, and compassionate towards our 3 animals. They call our Daisy a "fan favorite," and I can often hear Dr. Dan giving her snuggles and saying how much he loves her in the back while I am waiting in the room. He truly goes above and beyond, is a highly intelligent provider, and extremely thorough. We also love all of the techs and the administrative team. Jessica waits in front of the desk to hug our animals as they enter the office. We appreciate that so much, and always feel that they are in good hands. We moved up north, but will continue driving to the south end of town just to keep seeing this team. Thanks for all that you do!

I’m writing this with a heavy heart. I trusted AHCS with the care of my dog, Bentley and I believe a lack of attention and proper care contributed to his passing. My dog began losing weight back in February. Then, I figured he was a picky eater so I took him to this vet to rule out any serious issues on 3/3/25. There were warning signs that I feel were not taken seriously enough, as no blood work was completed on my dog to ensure it wasn’t just that he was a picky eater. I was simply told that “some dogs just don’t like dog food.” and that that particular provider has seen dogs that were even skinnier. My concerns weren’t fully addressed, and in the end, my dog paid the price. I ended up taking him to a different vet for a second opinion on 4/15/25 after repeated attempts to find different meal options for my dog, but to no avail. They ended up running blood work and we were told that there was no way to save my dog and that I would need to say my goodbyes to him due to kidney failure. I understand that medicine is complex and outcomes aren’t always in anyone’s control, but I expected more diligence, communication, and compassion—especially in such a critical time. Losing him has been devastating, and I don’t want anyone else to experience the same pain. Please be cautious and always advocate strongly for your pet, even when you think you’re in safe hands.
