Owners are sweet mozzarella sticks are fire. It doesn't matter if you are good or bad bowler. Hamburgers are pretty good too. If you are looking for a cold place good prices and just some small fun this is the place.
The guys who work in the pro shop are fantastic. Super professional and knowledgeable, they offered advice and carefully explained the inner-workings of how the ball worked. They drilled my wife's ball in no time flat and ensured that it was a good fit for her hand. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
I called earlier today to check if Armadilla Lanes was open to the public, since I had previously gone on league nights when it was closed. The gentleman who answered the phone was extremely short and rude in his response. When we arrived, there were two men at the counter. One appeared to be on break, drinking a soda, while the other (an older white male) was counting coins at the register. Neither of them greeted or acknowledged us. A simple, “We’ll be right with you” would have gone a long way. After waiting patiently, I finally asked if someone could help us with a lane. The older gentleman looked up and said, “Not until I’m done counting this money and closing this register,” then continued what he was doing without further courtesy. I understand he was busy, but his tone and demeanor were awful. Overall, the customer service was extremely poor from start to finish, both on the phone and in person. Unfortunately, this left us with a very negative impression of the business.
Simple, old school feel bowling alley. Only downside is the bumpers stay on at all times, compared to the newer style lanes such at the one in Bay City.
Great place to take the family for a night of fun. It's clean, well organized and has up-to-date equipment. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was really only their bowling ball selection (I have big fingers). I will definitely be back, we paid less for our family of 4 to bowl a game than anywhere we've been and we had a great time!
