Awesome, unique, eclectic. The variety of funky items is a sight to behold. Great place to find a conversation piece for your home or a special gift you won't find anywhere else. The owner ("Johny Depp") is very engaging.
Great place, they hold events with AMAZINGLY talented (and not to mention, absolutely unique) musicians here. During these events you can find artists selling paintings, jewelry, and more outside -and of course, great live music AND free food & drinks!! The owner, John, is a wonderful host and is very welcoming. It's also nice to come by at night [google maps isn't reliable for hours here but it's usually open 7-9pm most days!!] to peruse the art & jewelry for sale. There's a huge range in prices, and always something that'll catch your eye here. John is wonderfully talented and creates STUNNING metallic pieces as well (all for sale!!). Artists from all over AND local artists have pieces you can buy here! You won't find any other place in Richmond that's like Artemis.
Artemis is eclectic and fun while maintaining high quality amongst the fine crafts and artwork in a gallery space that's right in the Fan near VCU. It's my favorite place to shop for one-of-a-kind artist created gifts. There is a price range with something beautiful no matter what you have in mind. Artemis has jewelry, pottery, glass, textiles, mixed media. And tons of it packed into a great space. Go poke around!
