I have been going to AMS for several years, and I can honestly say it has been an incredible experience. Richard, Holly, Connor, April, and Andria are amazing teachers — professional, dedicated, and patient. They truly care about their students’ progress and tailor their teaching to each individual’s goals and abilities. The lessons are fun, encouraging, and something I always look forward to. I have grown so much as a dancer and gained a lot of confidence because of them. I am really grateful to be part of AMS and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning to dance.

Arthur Murray has been the absolute best place to learn to dance. The instructors amazing!!!! Having worked with them all, they are very professional, personable, and extremely passionate about what they do. If you’re thinking about starting lessons, you should totally do it. I had no experience and have learned so much in not only the proper steps, but the technique as well.

We unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with April. Despite being at the studio, she consistently started our lessons late but ended them right on time, meaning we didn't receive the full instruction we paid for. At $130 per session, we expected much better time management. The atmosphere often felt awkward and discouraging. April was frequently passive-aggressive; rather than offering constructive help, when we said a move, felt awkward she simply told us we were doing it wrong and even criticized me for smiling while I was trying to enjoy the process. Our final session was the most frustrating. We were forced to share the floor with another group that took up the majority of the room, leaving us pushed into a corner. Most importantly, we had told April this was our last session and we needed to learn the end of the dance, including the lifts and dips. However, she did not teach us those elements, leaving us without a finished dance. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and not worth the premium price. I would suggest looking for a more professional and welcoming environment.

We found Arthur Murray Dance Center when looking for a place to work on our dance skills prior to our wedding. We had a wonderful introductory lesson followed by a series of private lessons to choreograph the perfect wedding dance. With a less than conventional song choice and a desire to have a very lighthearted and fun first dance, we were slightly nervous and didn’t know how to mesh that with professional instruction in ballroom dancing. However, our instructor did an absolutely incredible job with our dance! She made us feel supported, listened to our desires for the dance, and helped us work on a tight timeline to get everything ready for the wedding. The result was the most memorable and amazing wedding dance that we will cherish the memories of for years to come. We loved our experience so much that we have returned as students post-wedding to continue lessons for fun as a favorite date night activity.

Nathaniel helped us choreograph and learn a first dance for our wedding, and it was so much fun!! The dance center also has monthly parties which was a perfect opportunity to practice our dance in front of an audience before the big day. It went so well at our wedding and is such a great memory for us to have!
