Karina at Artistic LA was an absolute dream to work with. I was planning a Day of the Dead wedding and wanted my officiant to have a half sugar skull painted on his face. The event was in Orange County, but my officiant is in LA, so I needed to find someone local for him. From the time I reached out to Artistic LA about my request, they were quick to respond and really accommodating based on my needs. I sent her my inspo photos and she came up with the perfect blend. My officiant was concerned about the makeup staying on for his long day, but she assured us she would make sure it stayed put. Which it did. We all were so very happy with the results! Karina made is easy from start to finish. I highly recommend working with her and her team if you have the chance, especially for Day of the Dead events. Thank Karina, for helping to give me my dream wedding!
Karina is THE BEST. I needed my face painted for a Dia de los Muertos themed wedding (I was officiating) and her work was terrific! I got so many compliments on how good my face looked and, best of all, the bride was thrilled! Karina is professional, creative, communicative, hospitable, talents and fast. Plus, her space at Secret Forrest LA is incredible. Hire her!
I recently had the pleasure of working with a truly talented makeup artist for my Halloween look, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The concept we discussed was brought to life with incredible attention to detail, transforming me unmistakably into the Joker from Batman. The artistry was so spot-on that no one at my Halloween party even had to ask who I was – the iconic look spoke for itself. The intricate, layered facial design, blending elements of horror and whimsy, captured the Joker’s sinister charm to perfection. The contouring and shading added an almost skeletal depth to my face, while the blood-red accents around the eyes gave a hauntingly expressive touch. The white and black tones around the mouth created a bone-chilling grin that was both captivating and unsettling, mirroring the Joker’s iconic smile. This was my version of The Joker in my mind . I will be coming here from now on for every Halloween , and will be recommending all my family and friends here. The price is very reasonable especially during this ruff economic time . I had searched online for 3 days before I found this fabulous place. I also attached one picture without the wig because that could also be a separate character. I scared quite a few people last night lol 😆.
I had Artistic LA do face glitter at my wedding and it was such a hit! They were very professional when booking with them and the artists at the event did such an amazing job! Everyone loved their face glitter :) Highly recommend for your next event.
