Athena Grill was an outstanding experience from start to finish! I ordered the fish, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—beautifully seasoned, tender, and flavorful without being heavy. It’s rare to find seafood prepared with such balance, where the freshness really shines through. The sides paired with it were also excellent, complementing the main dish and rounding out a very satisfying meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is charming and welcoming. It has a relaxed Mediterranean vibe, making it a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy good food. The layout is comfortable, and it feels like a spot where you can enjoy both a casual lunch or a nice evening dinner. Service was another highlight—the staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great suggestions and checking in often without being intrusive. I also appreciated how quickly everything came out, yet it never felt rushed. Athena Grill is the kind of place that makes you want to come back and explore more of the menu. From the quality of the food to the warm service and inviting atmosphere, everything comes together perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic flavors and a memorable dining experience.
Athena Grill is a fantastic greek restaurant with various halal options. They have a number of dishes that are halal on-request. They are really close to the MCA Masjid, and I've had many positive experiences with friends here before. Note that not all dishes are halal. This review is based on my last meal here with my husband and mother-in-law. My husband got a lamb gyro wrap, and a swordfish souvlaki wrap. My mother-in-law had the lamb souvlaki plate. I had the Biftekia. All of the food came with crunchy garlic fries and the waiter also surprised us with two salads for the table. The portion sizes are generous; my husband was barely able to finish his food, but not for lack of trying. We all had a really good time and the food was great. They have nice indoor seating, but I generally prefer the outdoor seating. If you're looking for good halal greek food, then I definitely recommend Athena Grill.
The place is great if you just want to have a tasty food, without spending a fortune, and don't care much about the atmosphere. It's a cozy place, but not really fit for a date. I took 3 lamb chops, and they were delicious, and that was a real quality meat for only 32$. Highly recommended.
Athena Grill offers a decent selection of Mediterranean dishes, though my experience was a bit mixed. I tried the fish and chicken dish, which had good flavor but didn’t quite justify the price—it felt slightly expensive for the portion size. The fish was cooked well, and the chicken was tender, but nothing extraordinary stood out. One disappointment was the finger chips. Instead of being crispy and golden, they were soggy, which took away from the enjoyment of the meal. It would have been much better if they had been freshly fried and crunchy. Similarly, the falafels were quite oily, making them heavy rather than light and crispy as they should be. This made them less appetizing than expected. That said, the service was friendly, and the ambiance was pleasant for a casual dining experience. The restaurant has a nice setup, and the staff seemed attentive. If they can improve the texture of their sides and perhaps adjust pricing slightly, it would make for a much better overall experience. Athena Grill has potential, but with a few refinements, it could be a more satisfying choice for Mediterranean cuisine.
