I did two tours with Austin Detours while spending sometime in Austin on my own and it was fantastic. I firstly did the Wine and BBQ tour where my guide Brent provided some funny and informative commentary on our way to Salt Lick BBQ which was amazing, the brisket in my opinion was better then Terry Blacks (but that's just my opinion and Terry Blacks is still amazing!). We then visited two vineyards where both hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to answer questions. All the wines were delicious and I decided to take two bottles back with me! After this tour I saw they also do a city tour and decide because I enjoyed this one so much I would do the city tour the next day! Our guide Luke was again amazing, funny, knowledgable and a real life Austinite! He provided so many interesting facts and bits of knowledge that you wouldn't know about without having the knowledge of someone local and it was truly an amazing way to see Austin without the stress of try to organise it yourself and travel from Downtown, East Austin, South Congress etc etc. If anyone is thinking about doing a tour in Austin look no further then Austin Detours!

My husband and I did the Hill country barbecue and wine tour with Austin detours with Luke as our tour guide. We had an amazing time had really good barbecue at Salt Lick (Highly recommend the sausage as well as the homemade pecan pie!). We hit several wineries in the beautiful Hill country and had an amazing time! Luke was easy going and had a lot of knowledge as a native Texas and Austinite. Check out this tour if you would like to see some of the beautiful countryside outside of the concrete city of Austin. 5 stars - highly recommend!

Had an amazing day on the Street Art & Street Food tour with Austin Detours! Joey is truly the best — super knowledgeable, fun, and passionate about Austin’s artists and culture. Even after living here for 10 years, I discovered hidden gems across Downtown, South Austin, and East Austin that I somehow never knew about. We stopped at The Salty Donut and Spicy Boys Fried Chicken — both absolutely delicious and places we likely wouldn’t have tried on our own. Such a great bonus to the tour! Highly recommend for both locals and visitors.

We had a great time on our tour of Austin with our guide Luke. He was personable and knowledgeable about the city, its history, and the vibrant arts & cultural scene. The tour van was clean and air conditioned which was very nice in the Austin heat. It was also nice we got to get out and explore the capital and famous Austin street mural. The tour group was a perfect size (10 people total).

Our tour guide Ike was incredible!!!! He was super funny, told dad jokes, very informative, and super friendly. Me and my family wanted to see a lot of things in Austin and he took the time to make sure we saw what we wanted to see. In fact we went over our tour time by 15 minutes so we got to see a lot of the things we wanted too. He also treated us to cookies! At the end of our tour he played happy birthday for me and my brother on his pocket trumpet even though our birthday is in December. Thank you Ike and Austin Detours for an incredible experience! I cannot recommend taking one of these tours enough. It is so much fun!!!!!
