B-Side has, in my opinion, some of the best pastries in Richmond. Super flakey croissants but maintaining a delicious chew. Even the flavored croissants have a special glaze on top that has a pleasantly slight crunch to it. Their chocolate chip cookies are also amazing. The owner and I had a conversation about how his business started and he was very knowledgeable about his craft. 11/10 would recommend.
There are a lot of great bakeries in Richmond, but this one takes the cake. We frequent B-Side about once a week and the quality never changes. Each croissant is perfectly crispy and buttery. Each of the fillings is perfectly flavored. Can't recommend it enough!
Just had the French onion pastry and it was to die for!! If you like savory pastries, stop what you are doing right now and go get yourself one of these! Generally, all of their pastries have an amazing crispy outside layer. Haven’t had anything from here I didn’t like. If you want something cheap the monkey bread for $3 is also delicious!
I’m not really into sweets, and I came here on my friend’s recommendation, but I can say I’ll definitely come back. The quality and freshness of the croissant and apple pie danish really impressed me, and the owner was very friendly too.
Absolutely Delightful Experience! I recently visited this bakery and was blown away by the quality of everything—from the warm service of Ben ( the owner ) to the heavenly aroma that hits you the moment you walk in. Their pastries are freshly baked, beautifully presented, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The croissants were perfectly flaky, the cakes moist and flavorful, and their cookies is some of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put love into every item. Whether you're grabbing a quick treat or ordering for a special occasion, this place never disappoints. Highly recommended!
