They do high-quality work, but I strongly recommend speaking directly with the owners to avoid any miscommunication. I scheduled my install with Rob, one of the owners, a couple of weeks in advance. On the day of the install, Rob wasn’t there, so I spoke with someone else to confirm the equipment and amp placement. I was told the car would be ready by the end of the day (they close at 5 p.m.). I didn’t hear anything all day, so I took a rideshare to arrive at 5. When I got there, the car wasn’t ready, but I was assured it would be finished the same day. While waiting during the install, I spent some time at the BBQ spot across the street—shoutout to the bartenders for making the wait more pleasant. Around 7:30 p.m., I received a call saying the line output converter was faulty and they needed more time. When I eventually picked up the car, they showed me where the amp was installed, but it wasn’t in the agreed-upon location. I tested the system with Stephen, the other owner, and immediately knew something was wrong—the sound quality was poor. I suspected the LOC had been tapped into the rear channels, despite being told those channels were full-range. Rob promised to make it right the next day, so I took the car home. Shortly after, I realized I couldn’t make phone calls properly—I could hear the other person, but they couldn’t hear me. I called Rob immediately and told him I wasn’t accepting delivery of the car. Rob got in the car with me, confirmed the audio issues, and determined the LOC had indeed been connected to the rear channels. He agreed to cover my rideshare costs, move the amp to the requested location, and personally oversee the reinstall. The next day, everything was completed exactly as expected. While the back-and-forth between San Bruno and Redwood City was frustrating, the final install quality was excellent—which is what ultimately mattered to me. The wiring is clean, sturdy, and well-protected; the midbass speakers were properly treated with sound deadener; and they made sure I was fully satisfied before final delivery. In short, I wouldn’t hesitate to have more work done here and would definitely recommend them. Just be sure to confirm all details with Rob or Stephen (the owners) on the day of the install. They're good and honest people, bring your business here.
Bay Area Car Audio upgraded my radio, speakers and added a backup camera. They explained my options clearly and helped me chose the best value for what I needed. They did great work. The system sounds great and the car came back looking better than when I dropped it off.

Came in to get a screen with CarPlay for our 2006 Honda Civic. Also added back up camera that works with the screen when you put the car in reverse. Screen looks great and works great. A really nice upgrade to the car. The folks here are really helpful and knowledgeable and I am very happy with the work.
