I am extremely disappointed with the administrative handling of my appointment. I booked an appointment by phone on January 8 for January 22 at 3:30 PM, and I made sure to arrive on time, fully respecting the hospital’s strict policies regarding punctuality, non-refundable deposits, and cancellation fees. Despite this, upon arrival, the front desk informed me that my appointment did not exist in their system. I was told to come back another day, with the comment that “at least you live close by.” This was said with minimal and insincere apology, and no attempt was made to take responsibility or offer any solution. What made this experience especially upsetting is that I drove my puppy to the hospital alone, and she vomited three times in the car due to motion sickness. This was a stressful and unpleasant experience for both of us, and it could have been avoided if the appointment had been properly recorded. The contrast between how strictly clients are held to policy, and how casually the hospital handled their own mistake, is very disappointing. I expected much better professionalism and accountability. Update: After this incident, the clinic manager reached out, apologized in person, and waived the exam fee. The veterinarian and assistant were also very kind and professional. I appreciate the effort made to address the issue.

We brought our mama cat and her four kittens to SPCA for their spay/neuter surgeries, and we couldn’t be happier with the care they received. From the front desk to the vet team, everyone was kind, patient, and professional. One of our cats had a small post-op issue, and the staff took it seriously, did an ultrasound, and fixed it quickly. All five cats are doing great now. What really sets this place apart is how much they truly care about animals. You can feel the compassion in everything they do. We felt very safe leaving our cats in their hands. Highly recommended!

Very kind and compassionate staff. Our cat suddenly passed last weekend, and they assisted us very kindly and very reasonably. Very much appreciated.

I love the BCSPCA Animal Hospital. I adopted our current cat from the SPCA last year and have been going to the hospital for continued veterinary care. The cat and I have gotten consistently excellent service and vet care, at reasonable prices and from caring, professional individuals. Yes, you need to email your questions, not phone, but someone responds so quickly that I've never found it to be an issue. For some people, the weekday only hours may be an issue, but to me it's worth it. Thank you BCSPCA Animal Hospital! You are a gem of a community service and resource and I really appreciate you.

The BCSPCA is an awesome organization. I have supported them by adopting 2 cats through them in the past. I have a dog now and I needed to get her spayed. I was going to take her to my regular vet but their price for spaying seemed extremely expensive. I decided to check the BCSPCA since they have spayed many cats and dogs. They are meticulous in organizing appointments and ask you be on "time." If you're 10 minutes late you'll have to reschedule. They are very busy. We met the vet who was very knowledgeable. She explained the procedure and the after surgery care needed. We also had some baby teeth removed because they had not fallen out yet. After everything was done the cost was a lot cheaper than our regular vet. I felt bringing my dog to the BCSPCA was helping support them. They do great work and are a lifeline for our furry loved ones.
