Bella Gusto Urban Pizzeria gets a solid 4 star review from me. The service was phenomenal from the moment I walked in and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive 😊 I let the waitress know right away that it was my first time and she did a great job explaining things, including letting me know about the BOGO deal, which was awesome. Because of that I ended up taking a pizza home for later. I ordered a sweet green tea and a cheese pizza. Well technically two cheese pizzas 😆 Now for a couple of small things that kept this from being a 5 star experience. One thing I see everywhere and honestly do not understand is automatically bringing ice water to everyone. Not everyone wants water, and it feels wasteful. The glass just sits there untouched with ice and a straw, and then someone has to wash it for no reason 💧 It is a small thing, but it adds up in labor, time, and cost. As for the pizza, the flavor was absolutely on point 🍕 No salt or pepper needed at all, which says a lot. The only issue for me was the flop. It was a bit too floppy for my taste. If they could tighten that up just a little, this pizza would be unstoppable. Overall the food was good, the service was great, and the place definitely has strong potential. I would come back again 👍
We come here regularly and love it!! I'm very fussy about my neopolitan pizza, and they do a fabulous neopolitan here. Also, my parents who are very strict restaurant critics literally said it's the best pizza they've ever had!! Highly recommend: calamari for the starter, calabrese pizza or their spaghetti meatballs (those are our favorite dishes). Sticky toffee pudding and gelato desserra are excellent quality. Finally - the service has been top notch every time. Parking is easy. Ambience inside is nice: spacious and music isn't too loud. We love it and highly recommend it to everyone who visits us in Phoenix!
OMG!!! My first time eating at Bella so I can only share on a few menu items. The Margherita and the Cacio pizza. WOW!! I order the Cacio e Pepe pasta, since our server, Brittany, (who is amazing) mentioned they make their own pasta. I’ve had Cacio in Rome a few times, so this was a tough call but it was the first thing that caught my eye. The flavor was delicious. Personally, I prefer a thinner pasta (more of a ‘traditional’ spaghetti noodle) theirs was more of a pappardelle. Regardless, it did not make me not eat it!!! The Cacio pizza was insane!! I was too curious not to order it! We sat in front of the pizza oven. We watched as John, a pizza artist and conductor, watching each pie with either a shift or holding the peel to achieve to make it beautiful, delicious and right. Adjusting the oven temp with olive wood (I asked), it was truly “dinner and a show”! Let’s not forget the wine…Brittany suggested the Montepulciano, and offered me a taste after she asked what I wanted in a wine. She nailed it! Both Brittany and John elevated my first experience. I even joined their loyalty club, which I didn’t know about until I had to look up how to spell the wine I enjoyed. :) No matter if you call it, “pizza” or a “pie” I call it Bellísimo!! Mangia!
Had a great experience here! It’s a wonderful place to hang out with a few friends since the noise level is just right—easy to converse without shouting. The food really shines; the pasta is incredibly fresh, and the pizza is seriously tasty. Definitely worth a visit!
We went to Bella Gusto on a Thursday night and got seated right away, which was nice and relaxing compared to the busy weekends. The vibe was cozy with good music, soft lighting and a romantic feel. We had calamari and two pizzas all delicious but the standout was the perfectly crisp and flavorful crust that made the whole meal amazing.
