Tom is personable, seasoned, and true master craftsman. I inherited a beautiful table that had a lot of history and a lot of ware and tear. You see the end the results-- this table is the center piece of my home. The quality of his craftsmanship cannot be matched!

Don't bother going anywhere else! Tom and Ron are pure craftsman. If you have good (solid, old stuff ) furniture, don't waste your money buying lower quality new stuff. Ethan Allen table top that I sent, would probably cost me today 4 times more and it would have never matched the buffet! I'll be sending more projects to Black's!

Fantastic experience working with Tom and Ron. We had a cherry dining table, 2 leaves, 6 chairs, 3 cherry end tables, one pecan end table, a maple cedar chest, 2 cherry dressers, and a headboard refinished. Each piece turned out great. Tom did a phenomenal job restoring my Grandmother’s hope chest! I have had this 80+ year old chest for 40 years wanting to have it refinished. I am so thankful to have found Tom that took the time with me and finished it above and beyond my expectations! Tom was recommended by a friend, and I asked him to take a look at a cute little table I'd gotten at a yard sale. He removed years of caked black varnish and bad repairs, and managed to split the layers of veneer and patch the top, so that you can't see where the patch is. In addition, he applied a durable finish, so the table is easy to clean, and can tolerate water. All of that, at a much more reasonable price than any estimate I'd gotten. I have now had him repair four dressers, two cabinets and an antique mirror, and had him refinish the top of our dining room table. In every instance, he's been a pleasure to work with, and his work has been impeccable. I can't say enough good things about him!
