Just got into town for a volleyball tournament. We wanted something special to eat tonight so we all decide to go eat sushi. The ratings on this place were good so we gave it a go. The crispy rice cake was amazing! Lightly fried with some amazing spicy tuna sitting delightfully on top for a perfect bite. Shishido peppers were perfectly seasoned and lightly charred. Offering a great smokey flavor. Tuna Tower was the star of the show! The dice tuna paired with the sweet Asian sauce, a top crab salad paired well with the rice and avocado. The only thing missing was a fork that would’ve made eating the last few bites easier! We ordered a variety of sushi rolls. All were really good. I wish I could name every role that we had, but unfortunately, I don’t remember each name. I do have remember these: Godzilla Rainbow Beach Salmon skin Spicy gringo Tataki maki Overall, this place had a great vibe and atmosphere. Was a great choice for our first evening in Kansas City.

I went here for the first time with a group of friends today for lunch. I had the best time. Firstly, our server was very friendly and attentive. Secondly, it’s a cozy atmosphere. Clean and well kept. Now on to the food, I enjoyed everything I ate. We tried lots of items too. I would personally suggest getting the coconut crab soup, it’s incredibly delicious. A nice creamy soup that tastes like a lovely curry almost. And it’s served nice and hot which is perfect for this cold season. And you have to order the Amazon Roll. It is a total flavor bomb in your mouth and a very unique roll that i’ve never tasted at any other sushi restaurant. I will definitely look forward to my next time coming back. Sushi in KC?? Yes! And very good sushi! A fun place conveniently located by KC Live. Delicious rolls at a fair price. Great service. Only one thing for me was the music was a little loud, said the 65 year old man. 😬 But if u like good music and great sushi this is your jam.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill never misses! I’ve dined in multiple times and also ordered delivery, and the quality is always top-tier. The sushi always tastes fresh and flavorful, and I was genuinely impressed the mango crab rangoons stayed crispy even after delivery. The edamame could’ve used a bit more char, but the seasoning still hit the spot. I ordered my go-to rolls—the Spanish Fly and San Marcos—and they were absolutely delicious. I was a lil hungry and forgot to take pictures when the food arrived 😅 but trust me, everything was worth every bite. Whether you’re dining in or ordering out, Blue Sushi delivers on flavor, consistency, and vibe. Highly recommend!

Came here for lunch and was blown away by how fresh everything was. The sushi was excellent quality, with vibrant flavor and perfect texture. Their happy hour prices make it easy to try a variety of rolls, and there are plenty of unique and creative options that go beyond the standard menu you’ll find at most sushi spots. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is upbeat without feeling rushed. A great place to enjoy top-quality sushi at a great value — I’ll definitely be back.
