Never take service from this bad and incapable lawyer! For the case they are not capable to handle they didn't turn it down but gave grave damaging advice to me so they can get business from me. Seeing I gave them a 1 star, they called me today and tried to ask me to delete my 1 star rating so they can fool more innocent people. To save other victims I'd spent more time writing it in details below. Reading this story, you will easily learn that using a different lawyer will bring you totally different result. Using Bornstein, they'd bring you grave damages. Using a genuinely good lawyer they truly protect you. Bornstein first required me to write a description of my case. I spent hours on it and specified "we can't go to our insurance because it is so difficult to find an insurance as the insurers don't want to insure residential buildings in California" "when she moved out I followed the lease to deduct this ex-tenant $1072 unpaid water bill with the proof I paid it for her 19 month's tenancy. She is not happy about this deduction but never questions it. But she made completely false claim that our 4 year age high-end new building had mold without one piece of evidence to prove her false claims. She takes advantage that she is a big lawyer's assistant and a para legal, she can write those false claim and complicated docs such as interrogatories docs herself, and her boss/the lawyer signs her false claims as a favor, so it is free for her to sue me and she will get $35000 from my insurance. On my side I have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to a lawyer to respond these documents. I'd be forced to give my insurance to her so she can easily defraud $35000+ from my insurance just by making a false claim and be able to write those complicated interrogatories docs herself." This is a complicated case, Bornstein are not capable to handle it, they should honestly turn it down. But The lawyer Erica Bornstein replied "we can take it on if you go to your insurance". I said "I can't". She simply said "No, you must go to your insurance carrier". If I listened to Bornstein's terrible demand, we'll never be able to get an insurance from a properly licensed insurer, then we will never be able to sell this building (we have put it for sale since Sept) This bad faith tenant will easily defraud $35000 from my insurance. In future she can defraud more money from other landlords. The same date I found another genuine trial lawyer with 30 year civil litigation experience. We signed an affidavit that I'll personally pay the judgement amount in full if there is any. So I don't have to give my insurance to this bad faith ex-tenant. My lawyer reviewed all the docs and confirmed "this claim will be dismissed, she has no case. She can get nothing from you."
