We have loved the photography here over the years, but it’s a lot of money to pay and have issues with scheduling (had to reschedule after we were told our first appointment just didn’t exist), printing delays (were told grad cards would be ready in four weeks and it’s now been over 8 - not done yet - even with speedy approval from me- now we are headed out of town to a family reunion and won’t have them to give to out-of-country relatives), and some disappointing photo editing (this was fixed in a prompt manner, however). Love the photography; we may even go back. But…I left disappointed four times in the last 8 weeks. Plan accordingly.

Later, when it was time for my mission photos, I worked with a different photographer at Busath. While the images were good, they didn’t quite capture what I had envisioned. Without hesitation, the owner personally arranged a reshoot, ensuring everything turned out perfectly. I just wanted to express my gratitude for the beautiful family portraits that we had taken at Busath in July. We had 23 people in the group, 10 of them were grandchildren ages six and under (four of them were only four months old!) and Richard and his father Drake and their assistant did an incredible job of taking the shots and making everyone look their best! Nothing short of a miracle! It was a portrait that I had hoped for, for many years. The setting was beautiful and the entire experience from the original consultation to express what we wanted, to the actual photo session, and then coming in to see the proofs was all very professional and friendly. Italy Workshops with Drake Busath are some of the best trips I have been on. Drake is an incredibly talented and helpful photo instructor that takes you to the most photogenic spots in Italy. The Portofino Coast & Cinque Terre are beautiful picturesque areas of Italy. Drake showed us areas we would never find on our own. He knew all the best restaurants, I’ve never eaten so well, so much! Our base hotel in Camogli was one of the nicest hotels at which I have ever stayed. Attached to this review is a picture of the stunning view from my room. Our fun group was made up of different photographic skill levels but Drake has a knack for bouncing from one to the other offering advice on how to improve their images helping with camera settings, compositions, everything needed to come home with great pictures. It would be hard to not end up a better photographer. This was my second photo trip with Drake, there will definitely be a third!
