After reading positive reviews, Calm K9 Training was my top choice for a trainer for my relative’s dog who needed to be rehomed after my relative passed away, who was showing some problem behaviors while staying with a foster mom. They were so helpful and honest. After evaluating the dog (which we were able to quickly schedule), they told me that likely it was just separation anxiety that didn’t warrant the full training program I was considering, and they gave foster mom some strategies to try that worked great. They could have sold us on a training package but were honest about and guided by the dog’s actual needs. I can’t think of a better reason to recommend them. Great people running a great business!

We just finished our training bootcamp with Carl and are so pleased with the results. Carl does a great job teaching and he really makes it an enjoyable process. We were instantly comfortable with him. Our pup was anxious, rambunctious and sometimes aggressive with other dogs. Now she is calm and confident, plus we have a stronger bond with her. We have the tools to continue honing the training and are excited to be able to take her anywhere without worry! We would recommend Carl to anyone.

David really knows his stuff. I was amazed how quickly our pup took to the training. You have to be ready to do work. If you are getting the reps in the transformation is a fast. A better behaved, a well adjusted family member that is a gift to all whom come in contact with your dog.

We brought our shelter dog to David for the board and train. We were having nipping issues, seperation anxiety, and disobedience with getting into everything even after we secured things away (so we thought). It got to the point where if we left for a bit we had to leave our pup outside due to destroying things/eating things that could hurt him. When we got snoop back he was a completely different dog. He still wants to go explore the kitchen when hes not in command but a simple come brings him right back. Before training our other dog was terrified from constantly being nipped on the feet and now that is completely gone. They now go outside together with no issues and our other pups anxiety is going away. I think my favorite part may be off leash training. Being able to take snoop on walks on trails and let him have freedom has been amazing. We are able to pass other sogs with no reactivity, just looks to see whats going on but no pause or heaitation. I would highly recommend anyone who needs training for their dog to go through calm k9, they were absolutely wonderful. Words cant express how greatful we are to have our dogs problems addressed in a way that has led to him being way more relaxed and happy in the day to day.

We highly recommend Calming K9 and specifically, Carl. Our dogs, Maggie and Poppy, have had some issues with resource guarding and aggression. Carl has helped teach us and our dogs how to navigate difficult situations. He has been very responsive and eager to help us and our dogs. We really appreciate Carl and Calming K9 for the assistance and the training was 100% worth it.
