I cannot say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow. We have had nothing but positive experiences, but two moments truly stand out and show how exceptional their staff is. About a year ago, I went into labor early and suddenly didn’t have anyone to care for our dog, Wyatt. He was supposed to attend daycare during my planned labor week, and everything changed unexpectedly. After my son was born, we called Camp Bow Wow and explained what had happened. Despite it being peak holiday season, they were incredibly empathetic, kind, and accommodating, and they immediately made it work for us. That level of care during such a stressful and emotional time meant more to us than they probably realize. Fast forward to this year—we had Wyatt booked for boarding, but unfortunately had to cut our trip short because our entire family got sick. Once again, during peak holiday season, they were so understanding and gracious about canceling our reservation. When we picked Wyatt up early, they had already made sure he was bathed and ready to go, days ahead of schedule. It’s clear that the staff at Camp Bow Wow genuinely care—not just about the dogs, but about the families too. They are generous, flexible, and compassionate in ways that go far beyond what’s expected. Wyatt is always well cared for, and we always feel confident leaving him there. I can’t recommend them enough!

My dog absolutely loves it here! Compared to other camps you can tell the people want to be there and love dogs as their career! It shows when she is super excited to go!

Our dog Rhea has been going to camp bow wow for the last couple of years now and although she's had fun there in the past, recently her stays have brought concerns to our attention. During two separate trips we would check the cameras multiple times to check in on her and had trouble finding her. In the past they have either not answered the phone when we’d call them or they’d reassure us that it’s fine and give us their “play hours” that the dogs will be viewable on camera. This continued to go on so when we tried calling again, they didn’t answer. We then emailed the facility which resulted in a prompt response via email stating that they had concerns that Rhea was showing new/dominant behavior so they’ve been separating her from the other dogs (whether that be in the kennel or in another room). As dominant behavior can be alarming to the staff and the other dogs, we understand why they did this. What was absolutely unacceptable was that the facility didn’t call to immediately inform us of the situation. Three full days went by before we heard from them and the only reason we got a response is because we reached out to ask why we’re unable to check in on our dog. The lack of communication, especially a change in a dogs behavior, is something that needs to be shared with the owners immediately.

My dog absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow! Every location is amazing and most recently we went back to Grandview Heights! This location is easy to get to and the people are so nice. I know my dog will have the absolute best time and come back ready for a nap! I’m able to enjoy my time with family and friends knowing he is being well taken care of. I will always recommend this to anyone going out of town!

My pup had her first ever day at day care today and I’m not sure she could have been happier (please see the attached first day photos)! When I walked in to pick her up, it was a different set of workers from when I dropped her off, but when I said my pups name they immediately said, “oh she is so precious …” so I thought it was sweet that they knew exactly who she was! They were so kind and understanding about her being a little anxious for her first day, and told me about how they’ll let her hang out by herself to get used to the sounds and smells, and slowly introduce more dogs one by one until she’s warmed up to the pack. I was also surprised by how inexpensive it is! We immediately did the new camper special and can’t wait to go back!
