Came here with the wife for a night out, lovely place, staff were really nice and friendly and the food was fantastic. Would definitely come here again. The only issue was that the toilets weren't clean and they had an event on where they allowed people to smoke outside which did get blown into the restaurant and we moved away from the door which solved the problem.
During our exploration of the new development where the original Granada studios tour was located we came across Caravan. We had heard it had opened in Manchester but was unsure of the location. Having spent many happy occasions in the Kings Cross branch we entered with high hopes. What a wonderful space, tables / booths of every size, a great bar area with a super cool DJ set up at the rear plus a private dining area - very swish! We didn’t have much time so opted for the salmon rice bowls and roast cauliflower side which we devoured in silence! - Delicious! Super cute and friendly team guiding us through our choices efficiently and knowledgeably - obviously there’s been some schooling of the team… No need to ask for the bill as you can pay at the table using a QR code to save time….love that ! Coffees and glasses of Blanc de Blanc and we skipped happily out of the door… That’s the Caravan we remembered… Thanks, we will deffo be back with friends in tow
Lovely restaurant as you can go into to have drinks only also, or maybe a cheeky cake, on the side to accompany same! They have outdoor seating, as well to the side and front there too. Asides from the restaurant indoors, they have separate areas, with lovely comfortable seating and separate cushions, as well that customers can take advantage of too. I've only given 4 out of the 5 stars, as there's not enough vegan options on their deserts menu for me, that I was tempted to have with my hot drink in there, as well. It was a bit cold and over-cast outside, therefore, declined their sorbets only option on their deserts menu. The service was great and kept being asked by the same waitress, that kept returning to me, would I like the sorbet, and on a warmer day out there, i would have been more tempted, that's all. Would like to see more vegan choices in there, particular on their deserts menu ahead and as regards their service, friendly and helpful but can see as they do their best to get custom out of their customers, as regards deserts that may not be all that necessary sometimes perhaps.
Our waitress was so lovely and had the perfect balance of being attentive and leaving us to it. We felt like we could sit in there all day, the vibe was cosy and chill. The food was absolutely unreal, coffee was so good and the general aesthetic was lovely. We would defo visit again!
Had an amazing brunch at Caravan Manchester! The chorizo and hash with eggs were absolutely delicious, and the Bloody Marys were on point! The service was top-notch - friendly and attentive. The surroundings were also great, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend!"
