Surpassed expectations! We did the ‘catch your breakfast’ tour and had the best time. Experiencing the coastline from a different perspective while watching the sun come up was spectacular, and Richard is so knowledgeable about everything from the geology of the coastline, to the history as well as myths and legends….and of course fishing! Massive thank you as well to chef Lee for an incredible breakfast and for some of the best freshly baked scones I’ve every had. All round amazing experience!

Fantastic. Booked the “catch your breakfast” tour 11/10/25…..what an amazing time! We left the harbour 7am before sunrise and the sunrise was amazing, just as the skipper Richard said it would be! We had two of them ( if you book with him he’ll explain) his knowledge of the coast line is second to none and we were in awe of his knowledge, thank you. The fish too was amazing and the fun we had was in this day and age a breath of fresh air, amazing. We then took our catch to Kraken for breakfast were we met by Lee, we were treated like it was a tv programme first off fresh baked scones then our catch (Mackerel) with potato bread cut in the shape of the causeway stones (such a lovely touch) soda bread. Scallions and a beautiful poached egg. Honestly the whole experience was amazing, thank you Richard (skipper) and Lee (Chef) if you’re ever in Portrush looking to do something different give causeway boats a shout for a truly amazing experience! Clifford.

We had an amazing sunrise fishing trip with Charlie and Richard. Seeing dolphins and seals was an added bonus! Definitely recommend!

I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our time with Causeway Boats. We booked a private hire with Richard and they took care of everything! He brought along Charlie who knows all about the coastline and the birds that call it home. Both men are fun and knowledgeable. We met them in Portrush and took a smaller boat with them to the Skerries, the coastline at Royal Portrush, Dunluce Castle, Smugglers Cove Giants Causeway Carrick-a-Rede and Ballintoy. We had a spectacular time and saw so much more than you’d see trying to visit all these areas on your own. It was just gorgeous and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. These gentleman are a blast to be with and truly love the water and this area. Highly recommend! The photos just don’t do it justice!

We had an absolutely brilliant time on board the Causeway Lass with Richard and Charlie looking after us. I booked the boat for my sisters hen do and they did not disappoint! There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us, greeted us with gin and tonics and fantastic food prepared by their chef including blinis, homemade scones and brownies. We wanted to have a quick swimming stop which they facilitated too. Charlie provided lots of local information and pointed out the wildlife to us and we were able to play our own music on board too. It was so much fun and I’d highly recommend for any group. The weather was wet but the craic was mighty!
