This is a great place to stop and get a quick box of chicken or some fish. Nothing fancy here just good old fashioned pick up and go food. They have everything from fried chicken, fried fish, even apple pies. Personally I love eating the gizzards they are the greatest. Do yourself a favor and drive down here to the South side and get some grub!
The people here were so friendly and over the top above and beyond And generous with awesome prices!!! My family and I love this place since we've been recently going and we'll definitely be back more often. Thank you for being great People with great service, big hearts & yummy food!!! I wouldn't mind the wait for fresh amd delicious dinner with perfect prices. I'm telling everyone! Love the chicken and fries myself. My dad loves the gizzard and my love likes the fish. Gotta try your brown gravy with my chicken next time now that I read you have it.
If you're looking for some tasty fried chicken, they will not disappoint. We tried the fried fish as well, almost like freds fish but crisper. The apple pies are a must. Too bad they are closed on the weekends.
Wow! Che's Chicken & Burgers is a hidden gem. We asked a cab driver,"where can we go buy fried chicken but not pay for sides?" He instantly said Che's Chicken on S. Preza and boy was he right. Che's Chicken & Burgers is not a sit down restaurant. It is order at the windows and wait for your to go order. When I arrived there were two people infront of me. Che's has a huge menu of chicken, burgers and fish. The staff was great, the lady that took my order walked me through the crosses and answered some questions for me. I mentioned that I tried to call ahead and she explained that during their busy times they don't answer the phone. We ordered two, 16 peoce mixed dinners and two 2 peice dark orders. I expected to wait at least 10 minutes but my order came out almost right away. The chicken was hot, crispy and not greasy at all. The rolls were perfect and a hit with the family. We will definitely come back for more chicken and try the burgers and fish plates. Che's is an old school restaurant, that serves quality food and their employees seem to enjoy working with each other and at the restaurant. Side note: the man after me was a chef from a local restaurant, he was coming off his shift and told the lady taking his order that he passes by everyday and sees the lines of people and finally had an opportunity to stop and try Che's for himself.
i give the chicken 8 out of 10.bombers were 10 out of 10. i really wanted their tea,but they had ran out @ sbout 6pm. chocken was juicy. I would go back
