We chose Blue Star because of their positive Google reviews, but our experience was very disappointing. The workmanship throughout our home is poor and should have been caught during a final walkthrough, if one had been done. We specifically asked for a walkthrough before the crew left, but were told to just call if we had issues. When we called them back, they only addressed the specific items we pointed out instead of inspecting their own work. As we’ve lived in the home, we’ve continued to find more missed areas and sloppy finishing. I sent detailed photos of the issues to their quality control department, but no one ever responded. That silence says a lot about how they stand behind their work. Given the overall poor quality and lack of accountability, we feel a response and refund would have been appropriate. We’ve since hired another contractor for a different property and had a much better experience for a significantly lower price. Based on our experience, Blue Star’s workmanship and customer service do not reflect the high ratings they’ve received which leaves me to speculate that their “glowing” reviews are paid.

I wanted to have my kitchen cabinets painted and reached out to Chesapeake based on their reviews. My island was a different color than the rest of my cabinets and they did an excellent job color matching. EVERYONE involved was outstanding, communication was exceptional and price very reasonable. The painting crew was meticulous. You definitely get the feeling that the customer is a priority. I am so pleased, I am asking them to paint my laundry room and dining room butler pantry cabinets and look forward to that. Highly recommend AAAA++++ 9-23-25 Repeat all around AAAA++++ job for my laundry room cabinets from espresso to white and butler cabinets from cherry to espresso.

We recently had a fantastic experience with Blue Star Chesapeake Paint & Renovations, and I can't recommend them highly enough. From the start, working with Mike was an absolute pleasure. His team, led by Yvonny, was incredibly professional and truly top-notch. They went the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction. With a tight deadline before our vacation, they not only met the schedule but finished with plenty of time to spare. The crew worked hard, patiently answered all our questions, and gave us everything we wanted and more. Their pricing was also excellent, which was the cherry on top of an already great experience. They meticulously repainted the exterior of our house and replaced damaged cedar siding. Inside, they flawlessly repaired cracks and painted walls, doors, and trim. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled team that delivers on their promises, look no further. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to all my friends.

This was our second major interior paint project by Chesapeake Painting Services. The scope for this project was all interior walls of our main house (two levels) and the same for the interior of our guest house (two levels). The team was extremely professional, experienced, and polite. They were punctual walking through our door every morning at 8am and leaving our home nice and tidy at 4pm. During the workday they made very efficient and noticeable progress. They cleaned each completed area and reset all the furniture before moving to the next section. The entire job was completed in 8 days including some carpentry and electrical work. During that time the team was a pleasure to be around. Any minor issues they encountered were quickly explained and solved. We are having them return to do some additional work in areas unrelated to the first phase (which was completed to our total satisfaction). Very happy with this experience. Chesapeake Painting Services is a high-integrity operation providing craftsman-level work product at a fair price. They genuinely are "The Gentlemen Painters."
