It’s exactly the kind of brunch you would expect. Table service was impeccable once seated. Unfortunately, the front desk experience nearly ruined it. We had a reservation and arrived on time. With a long lineup, we checked with people ahead of us and confirmed they didn’t have reservations, then notified staff. While escorting us to our table, the waitress told us that next time we should wait in line with everyone else — reservation or not. When I asked what the point of making a reservation was, she had no answer and simply repeated herself. The 8% tip reflects that interaction. Suggestion: reservations should mean something. If you’ve booked a table, you shouldn’t be told to wait in line with walk-ins.
Came for breakfast and was seated fairly quickly. Waitress warmly welcomed us and offer us shots of fruits yougurt before taking our coffee orders. Waitress checked in on us if we need more time to decide our orders and took our orders when we are ready. Coffee was served soon and our food arrive soon. We feedback that one of the brunch item is missing potatoes and one portion of potatoes was given quickly. Waitress topped up my friend’s black coffee rather promptly and check in on us a few times while we were eating. The service we received was great, food was not bad. The scrambled eggs were not exactly scrambled (white and yolk not completely beaten) and the portion for 2 eggs seems less than average. Overall the breakfast experience was great, for the items we ate I think they were quite ok. The menu is extensive so I think everyone can find something they want to eat here.
This was my first time eating at Cochon Dingue, and I was very happy with my choice. I specifically went for brunch because they had Duck Benedict on the menu, and it was delicious. The service is very friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is colorful and fun, and I look forward to visiting this location again on a return trip to Quebec City.
Honestly, amazing. I was very nice to arrive to Quebec and have a great meal to begin our trip here. My daughter is not too good to eat out of the house, but she was very happy with the food (everything was at the good cooking point and with delicate flavors). The waiter recommended us a dish for us adults that was just great… All was great!
We went to on a Saturday. Despite it being busy, we were seated quickly. The server( the older guy with the glasses, was very welcome and friendly. The food came quick. I got the hot chicken, the bread was slightly black and the fries lacked flavor. I also got the kit kat moka, which was one of the best drinks I ever tried. The service was A1 hence I'm putting the 5 stars. I will definitely be back to this place when I am in the area.
