My computer was hacked, bank accounts, venmo, paypal all of it. These guys helped me out and fixed everything while showing me in person how to prevent future issues. I could not reccomend a company more. Any computer issue, this is the place to go.

Have had EXACTLY what I needed for no-notice esoteric repairs multiple times. A hometown computer store that harkens back to the halcyon days of little knowledgeable shops that mostly died out by the mid-2000's.

Best computer maintenance shop in Anchorage! The owner Brian and staff are all expert technicians. They have been helping me for over 5 years. Today they updated my laptop and added a new wifi software plugin. It works again.

I really want to support local businesses like Computer Renaissance. It’s important to keep money in the community, and I appreciate having tech help nearby that isn’t a giant chain. That said, it’s incredibly disappointing to see them triple their prices when Best Buy runs low or is sold out of popular items. It’s honestly gross to take advantage of the same community that helps keep you in business. You’d hope a local shop would look out for their customers, not try to cash in during shortages. It shouldn’t have to be that way. Also, when trading in gear, they offer way below market or trade-in values. Definitely not the place to sell unless you’re desperate. On a positive note, the staff is respectful, and the store has a friendly and knowledgeable atmosphere. It’s a decent place for tech help or advice but when it comes to pricing and trade-ins, they’ve got some soul searching to do.

🚨 AVOID COMPUTER RENAISSANCE AT ALL COSTS 🚨 If I could give zero stars, I would. We are BEYOND disappointed with the service—or complete lack of it—we received. My partner brought in his brand new 2025 all-in-one touchscreen work computer with a cracked screen. We were told they’d provide a quote and get the part ordered. A day or two later, they said it would take two weeks and cost around $1,100. After thinking it over, we went in to pick it up, spoke to an employee, and agreed to move forward with the repair. He said “no problem,” they’d order the part, and we’d get a call when it arrived. That was the last we heard from them. Two weeks passed—no call, no update, nothing. Joe went in to check, only to find his computer sitting on a shelf, untouched. A different employee told him the part had never even been ordered. When Joe asked why, the answer was, “Well… I guess that’s just Craig for ya.” Seriously? That’s your answer? Joe asked AGAIN to have the part ordered. They said they’d call the next day. They didn’t. Three days later, Joe called THEM and was told they couldn’t order the part after all. So—no communication. No progress. No accountability. Just excuses and laziness. And now the worst part— 🚨 UPDATE (6/11/2025): The same day we picked up the broken computer from them, we immediately took it to a professional shop in Eagle River. They opened it in front of us and found: About 8 screws were completely missing One screw was something close to a SHEET ROCK SCREW—literally damaging the inside of the machine The actual screen + labor? One-third the price Part is in stock, labor is $80, and turnaround is quick! So not only did Computer Renaissance do nothing to fix the computer, they actually made it worse with careless, damaging reassembly. Their quote marked up the part by over 100%, which is just outrageous!?.At this point, it’s not just bad service—it’s unethical!! This computer is used for work. Time is money, and they wasted both. We will NEVER go back. We will never recommend them. The BBB should be aware of this type of service.. ⭐ Take your computer to Eagle River instead. They were professional, honest, and showed us everything they were doing. Computer Renaissance? They shouldn't be touching anyone's tech. Shame on them!!
