I want to compliment the staff at Sagewell. I have been a member of many gyms since the 1970’s all over the country. Sagewell stands out as one of the best. The staff are outstanding - every one of them from the front desk reception to the trainers. I attended Mikahl’s class, Pilates Mat last week for the first time, and it was outstanding!!! Just sorry i am so late experiencing that. The addition of Nate’s line dancing class is another fantastic experience. He is so fun and so good! I leave there smiling every week. The staff are kind and caring and so inviting. Justin never fails to help every member with a question or concern. I love Nicole (i think?) who keep’s the gym sparkling clean. Thank you, Sagewell! What an wonderful early Sunday morning treat to have a massage with Keturah! She has a sweet spirit and truly cares about her clients and their body healing and wellness needs. Highly recommend her as well as the other massage therapists at this location. Book early as their appointments fill quickly.
I had a massage yesterday with Keturah. First time I have had a massage in 5 + years. I went in with terrible pain in my left hip, lower back, shoulder and neck. I thought for sure I would be miserable today, but I haven’t felt this good in a year! my hip pain is nonexistent today and I feel so much shoulder and neck relief!! Very sweet young lady and very knowledgeable about her craft!
Review update: Thank you for the reply. Since you brought up documentation, let’s address what was actually documented and communicated. We met in person, followed up in writing, and outlined ten specific safety items needing correction. While some issues were addressed, such as securing staff personal items so children could no longer access things like a staff member’s NyQuil bottle, other serious issues were disregarded. The most critical issues, including enforceable staff-to-child ratios, consistent supervision, and the handling of a child who assaulted our daughter twice, were never resolved. The decision to disregard those safety measures came directly from the general manager, which is deeply concerning. For clarity, other gyms in the local area also provide unlicensed childcare yet maintain defined ratios and maximum capacities. While it is not a legal requirement, it is basic safety and common sense. Our review reflects those documented facts so other parents can make informed decisions before entrusting their children to this program. —————- Sagewell Fitness Center is a beautiful facility with a thoughtfully designed layout, but unfortunately it is poorly managed. The incredible facility is what first drew us in, along with their excellent parent-child fitness programs. When we joined, those classes were well-run, organized, and felt like a true highlight of the center. Unfortunately, over time, our experience changed. Key staff who originally developed and led the childcare programs moved on and, from what I observed, were not replaced with equally qualified individuals. Instead of hiring experienced replacements, management seemed to consolidate roles in ways that, in my personal experience, affected both the quality and safety of the children’s programs. By the time our daughter was two years old, we encountered multiple safety concerns within the childcare Play environment. We formally raised these concerns with management, including the general manager. Despite escalating the issue, no meaningful changes or additional resources were provided. Because of this, we made the difficult decision to end our membership. I want to be clear: many of the individual childcare staff we met were excellent people, working hard under what seemed like difficult circumstances. My concern is not with them, but with how the program is managed and resourced. For parents considering Sagewell: I strongly encourage you to look beyond the beautiful building and ask direct questions about staffing, qualifications, and safety protocols. In my personal experience, the people and resources behind those impressive facilities is not what it once was.
I absolutely love this gym! It’s always super clean, and I love that it has a play area where I can leave my daughters while I work out. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming — it really feels like a community. The pool is always clean and warm, which is perfect for relaxing or swimming with the kids. I’m so happy to be part of this place. Highly recommended! 💪👧👶🏊♀️
