I started working with Merri when my doctors suggested Pilates as a good workout for some health conditions I experience. I started Pilates with Merri about 2 months ago and am so thankful! I had never done Pilates, but always thought it would be a great workout to try. Having no experience with Pilates, I was nervous to go to a regular studio with larger classes and when I found Merri's CoreForge as a private option, I immediately booked. Merri is very patient, starts with the basic techniques and builds on those each week making you feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. Being in a private, one on one session makes your workouts very thorough, personalized for your body's needs, and safe. After each session, I leave her studio with spaghetti legs and wonderfully tired muscles. My body is already feeling stronger, more flexible, and younger! CoreForge with Merri is absolutely worth your time and investment!
I started doing Pilates with Merri about 6 months ago. Merri planned each exercise to enable me to explore a new, less painful way of working my body after a spinal fusion. She is always thinking about the mechanics of my specific body, and when necessary, is able to creatively adapt any exercise to meet my ability. I have noticed an increase in core strength and dramatic decrease in back pain. I would recommend her to anyone, especially those with back pain who are interested in gaining strength with someone who is passionate about your personal transformation. My sessions with Merri have been fun and I love how encouraging she has been in this journey!
