This was my first experience here last night and the service was fantastic, the atmosphere good and peaceful, however the food. Not so much. We had an appetizer and some salads. Which were good. Up until the entrees came. My husband got the wagyu steak and I got the lamb. I asked for medium. My husband asked for medium well. Both of our entrees came out and we cut into them and they were the rarest of rare that you could possible imagine. When we addressed it with the waitress she was very polite about the situation but assured me both items were “cooked”. They were sent back and still came back practically rare. The manager of course apologized and was also respectful but I was very disappointed with our entrees
Where do I begin, of course I hit the floor and I have been to this casino many times and the floor has always been honest and fun. But tonight I celebrated my 25th birthday and council and oak (the steakhouse inside the casino) did everything right. The teams professionalism, their humor, and knowledge of wine was nothing short of amazing. My wine paired great with my streak, all 7 meals at the table were cooked to perfection. Since the GM was out on PTO Mr Mark was leading the ship and did a phenomenal job at it! The server Mr Gregory was also the best. This is my 2nd time dining at council and oak, and it will not be my last time! My first time was a curated 5 course meal with wine pairings so I didn’t get the individual experience that you would at a birthday dinner. This time around I got the intimate experience and was not disappointed! Hard rock, I hope you take good care of the staff here. They are worth every penny! Thank you to the team at council and oak, and thank you to hard rock for the laughs and joy you provided last night!
This was my first time dining here with my fiancé. We were genuinely blown away every moment of the evening. From the comfortable booth, detailed food and wine list, the ambiance, everything was elegant. Every single course we got was prepared beautifully and tasted soo amazing. Our servers Gregory and Berhan were very kind and took great care of us. Even the manager Josh went out of his way to stop by our table and make our first experience so special. This is currently our new favorite spot and we can’t wait to return!
We came for restaurant week. For $56 you got a salad or soup, a choice of entree, and carrot cake dessert. The restaurant was loud but vibrant and very tasteful. The chairs we sat in were plush but clean. The rolls were small and salty and the butter was good, seasoned. I chose the chopped salad and my husband got the Caesar. Both were good, the ceasar dressing was delicious. I chose the filet and he chose the strip. We ordered both medium but didn't realize the strip was bone in so it was much less cooked than expected. Both steaks were good and my husband thought the best we'd had to date, even topped our bisteaka in Florence Italy! There was some kind of rub or seasoning on the steak that was slightly sweet but not offputting, hints of cinnamon and cardamom. The maitredee butter was butter with seasoning, garlic, and goodness on top of the steak. I only wish it hadn't been ice cold, it really cooled down the meat sooner than it needed to be. For sides I got mashed potatoes and he paid $2 extra for the loaded baked potato. Worth it for the extra, the bacon is thick cut more of a pancetta. I don't care for gravy but it was actually delightful, tasted like a red wine sauce. So good. The carrot cake was fine, the icing is light almost like a whipped cream. We asked for it to go because we were full and sampled it later at home. Overall this meal was well worth it. We each also got a larger pour of Pinot grigio (can't remember size) for $20 a pop. Grand total was $167 before tip. It was well worth the experience, the restaurant is so expensive on a regular day that we felt it was a steal to get to sample it. Also the service was good, waitress was around but not over present and there was a young lady for water, clean up, and who brought bread to the table and she did a nice job. I saw the manager around but he didn't come to our table, had he I would have told him they did a nice job. 10/10, exceeded expectations. Would come again if they offered a meal deal to try some different menu selections.
My friends and I (party of 8) came here recently for my 40th birthday. Josh the GM made it an unforgettable experience! Food was great and our server, Gregory, was amazing! One person in our party had an issue with the steak and Josh had it fixed within minutes! And definitely leave room for dessert!
