The place is awesome. The food and service are always top notch. Mathew was a great waiter and provided great advice. I would always recommend visiting Council Oak if you have the opportunity.
One of the best steak house is the Tampa area. With Matthew C 5-star service, we absolutely will be back. He is an asset to this place. If you are served by him today, you are in luck! The oyster Rockefeller is delicious! Recommended!
We had a reservation for 7:45. Upon arrival at 7:40 they took us straight to our table. Our server was Matthew C. and he was AMAZING!!! He made jokes with us, helped us with the menu (as this was our first time dining here), and made the whole experience extremely enjoyable. We will 100% be coming back here to dine with him!! We shared the bone-in ribeye (medium), and it was cooked perfectly. They even cut it in half for us. The garlic mashed potatos were out of this world, as was the lobster mac n cheese. The whole experience was wonderful and we cannot wait to come back!
We have been here a few times and it’s always an excellent experience. The food and service are always outstanding. Our most recent visit was for our 10 year anniversary. We were able to sit near the kitchen which was fun to see all the action. I had the Oscar topped filet which was delicious. Highly recommend for any occasion.
One of the best steakhouses in Tampa. Oysters Rockefeller and pork belly also great. Located right in the casino so you can enjoy a whole night here. The lobby entrance is impressive with a view into their dry aging and butcher space. The left dining room has a view into the large kitchen, the right dining room has live music, and the bar is beautiful with many allocated whiskies to choose from...so different spaces to enjoy for multiple visits.
