Taken this tour several years ago and it was a 5 star event. But unfortunately now its a 1 star. 😐 The tour just wasnt the fun experience we had. The streets that had pretty lights were bypassed while we passed houses that were sparingly. We had to ask for christmas music, the enter action just wasnt, stopping at the place we could go in for 10 minutes they parked 15 miles away for a bus load of older women just wasn't an option. The lil things they used to do really made the tour, so maybe this will help the situation to become better and fun like before. Merry Christmas!
We have taken the Dallas by chocolate tour several times over the years but unable to make it the last few years. We have always enjoyed it so much. Finally we got to go last night and we were so happy. This was such a huge disappointment. We barely saw any christmas lights.We traveled down main streets while bypassing the streets with lights. the rest stop was 10 minutes not time enough to really get off the shuttle. Never again!!! What ashame it used to be so fun, now we couldn't wait for it to be over. 👎👎
The tour was a pretty big disappointment. To start the night, a small 24 passenger bus was sent versus the large motorcoach described in the details, totally not the tour guides fault, though it seemed to put her in a bad mood for the night. We all crammed into the small bus, except the guide, as there was no room for her and her family that she brought along. The first desert stop was under whelming, a very small place and we were told to wait outside once we got our desert for 20 minutes, then another 20 minutes while we waited for the larger bus. Once in the motor coach things picked up, but as someone else mentioned much more driving around than seeing lights. The second stop was OK, but the 3rd stop at Picolé Pops, made the night. The gourmet popsicles were amazing! The entertainment on the bus by the host was pretty lame, and even though it was posted as adults only there were two kids on the bus, not that it had any impact they were well behaved, just surprised. We stopped at two houses that were fantastic, and good photo ops, but the rest of the light tour was just OK. The trip was over 4 hours. Thankfully we brought our own beverages to enjoy on the bus, but requesting ice or even a cup seemed to put the host out. Not a tour I would do again, thankfully my family took it all in stride.
My kids and I agreed to stop giving each other junk to fill our houses with for Christmas and birthdays and to start giving experiences. Saturday my Christmas present was the Tacos and Margarita tour and I can say without hesitation, we will be talking about this for years, it was SO FUN, the food and drinks were great too!! Rhonda was the tour guide and she is absolutely hysterical. We went to four different restaurants in different areas of Dallas for some really great tacos that were each very unique. I think there were close to 30 of us on the tour bus and every person said they planned to revisit at least one of the stops on the tour. If it’s an experience you crave, these people deliver in a big way!
Großartige Erfahrung für Erwachsene, Freunde und Familie! Ich habe die Erwachsenen-Tour gemacht – sie dauerte etwa 3 1/2 Stunden. Ausgangspunkt war das Maple Leaf Café, das der erste Halt der Tour ist, also hatten wir vor der Tour zu Abend gegessen – sehr gut, aber bestellen Sie kein Dessert. Man fährt in einem Tourbus zu zwei weiteren lokalen Schokoladengeschäften mit einem Tourguide, der auch örtliche Orte zum Ausprobieren für allerlei Dinge zeigte. Während der Busfahrt werden Ihnen Weißwein und Rotwein serviert, und am Ende heiße Schokolade mit Baileys – also ideal für kaltes Wetter. Die Schokoladengeschäfte sind alle bekannt für Schokoladen von Spitzenqualität, und Ihnen werden Proben gegeben und die Möglichkeit, Fragen zu stellen und natürlich zu kaufen – aber kein Druck. Die Haltestellen hatten Toiletten, aber es gibt auch eine an Bord des Busses. Nach der Schokoladentour fahren Sie ins Park- und Universitätsviertel, um die Lichter zu sehen – eine großartige Möglichkeit, die Top-Spots zu sehen, und jeder sieht sie, statt dass der Fahrer die Lichter verpasst. Jay RICHARDSON war unser Tourguide und sehr sachkundig über die Gegend sowie die Ladenbesitzer und einige der Leute, die die Weihnachtslichter-Ausstellungen besaßen. Es ist jeden Cent wert oder macht ein tolles Geschenk. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit.
