What can I say. I had a perishing thirst for fruity wines and even fruitier hosts, and this tour delivered both in abundance. Sommelier Sean whisked us around the scenic yarra valley for an assault on the senses and the liver, with a beautiful selection of decadent wines and ciders on offer. When our plush carriage arrived in central Melbourne fit for a Disney princess, I knew we were in for a refined experience full of hijinks and tomfoolery. Wouldn’t be seen dead without a chilled red. A++
We did the Yarra Valley wine tour with Dancing Kangaroo and can not recommend them highly enough. Our host Mike mixed in great knowledge of the local area with his witty humour to make a highly enjoyable day. Definately a must do if you are in Melbourne for a few days.
My family really loved this tour! The Amazing tour package was perfect to enjoy the delicious varieties of cheeses, wines, chocolates, and gins of Yarra Valley while enjoying its beautiful landscape. Our tour guide Stephen is truly fantastic! He is so friendly and has an entertaining sense of humur, and makes you feel comfortable for the whole tour. I love the experience and I highly recommend it.
Had booked the tour that brought me into the yarra valley to sample cheese, chocolates and of course wine and gin! Had a great time with Sean as my guide. He gave us really thoughtful facts around the region and really checked in with all of us as individuals. This also led to a lovely mini concert on the way back to the CBD at the end of the day. The people that they chose to highlight in this tour were definitely passionate about their work. And Sean was clear about the allocation of time at each stop to make sure that we were on time for our next location. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and well cared for due to Sean and my lovely fellow travellors. Would highly recommend for you to book with Kangaroo Tours.
From the moment we hopped on the bus, our host Possy set the tone for an incredible afternoon. He was everything you’d want in a guide — amazingly engaging, super knowledgeable, effortlessly funny, and full of genuine passion for the region. You don’t just learn about wine with him… you feel the story behind every vineyard. The 12pm start time was perfect — we got to enjoy a slow, relaxing morning before diving into the adventure. And what an adventure it was! We visited three stunning vineyards, each offering exceptional wines that surprised us in the best way. Every tasting felt curated, personal, and memorable. This tour delivered beyond expectations — great wines, breathtaking views, and a host who truly made the experience special. If you’re visiting Melbourne, do yourself a favour and book this.
