I've ordered pizza from here for lunch 1000 times. Super clutch when the weather is bad, even though it's not too far from my job. Usually happy to pay high delivery fees for it, too. It's been awhile, but apparently they've implemented a $21 minimum for delivery? The pizza is just $12.99, with a delivery fee of a WHOPPING $6.99. Fine, I've been willing to pay it for the convenience. But still adds up to $1 less than their convenient new "minimum," and I'm forced to order something else if I want delivery. Tax, tip, etc., already brought my total to nearly $25. For a $13 pizza. Thanks, but no thanks. I'd rather order from somewhere else. Hope the restaurant reconsiders, because their pizzas are always DELICIOUS. But you've lost at least one customer with this weird cash-grab rule, unfortunately.
Hi, tried this place out after riding my bike from Pittsburgh so I was in the mood for some really good pizza. This place is one of my favorite pizza places that I’ve ever been to. I liked that the place was clean, friendly, really quick to get in and out. I love the concept and I wish we had one of these in Charlotte. You walk in, tell them what you want on your pizza, watch them, put your toppings on and send it through the oven, which takes only about five minutes total time in and out around 10 minutes for some amazing pizza!
We ordered 2 large pizzas for 4 people and still had a couple of slices leftover. They were good, but nothing exceptional about it. The extra sweet and spicy sauce, which tasted like Thai chili sauce, was a bit odd! The sign "voted best pizza in the universe!" Not sure by who 🤔, but definitely not by us. The inside of the store is clean, and so is the restroom. We sat at the outdoor table around noon time, and got mosquito bites all over our legs. Such a nice and safe area though.
We are vegetarians - we ordered the build your own pizza - the fact that they’re making the pizza right in front of you is a very refreshing feeling - we got the spicy Italian sauce for base for both pizzas, we got one takeaway. The vegan chorizo stole the show - it was delicious! The person making the pizza also made sure to check with us if we liked the pizza so that was reassuring that they cared. They had a good variety of seasoning for you to help yourself! They have outdoor seating so you get the view of the busy world outside as you’re filling up on hot pizza - win win!
Now my standards on how a pizza should taste are pretty high. And DC Pizza didn’t disappoint. Landed on some adorable staff! Really kind and helpful clearly looking for more than just to sell me their pizza. Anyways it was a great experience that I recommend to everyone. They also have gluten free pizza so that’s a w!
