I used to love this place but I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this winery. I drove for 45 miutes to this place and upon arriving, I was shocked to find someone physically blocking the road to the entrance, demanding a cash payment for a live band playing at the venue. When I explained I didn’t have cash, I was then asked for a credit card or ID card to leave with that guy as a form of “insurance” to ensure we would pay inside. This approach felt invasive and unwelcoming. There was no prior notice about a cover charge, and using such aggressive tactics at the entrance is not only unprofessional but also quite off-putting. A winery should focus on hospitality and creating a relaxed atmosphere, not coercion

We reserved the tasting room for my girlfriends 30th birthday last year. We had a great time, most of the wine is very good. Owners were very accomidating and helped make it special. The Memphis Big Band, sponsored by the City of Lakeland is one of my favorite events to attend here every year in May, you don't want to miss it.

My original review seems to have been removed (along with many others). Reposting for visibility: Definitely a generational divide here. The couple who we presume to be the owners were borderline rude to our party from the moment we arrived. It was disheartening to see the lady behind the counter striking up long conversations with other customers, then wanting to have nothing to do with us. If you are thinking about driving up from Memphis, don't waste your time.
