Someone at the airport told me about this place. I thought it was worth a try. I also found it on the different sites and the reviews were all very good. I ordered with the help of the waiter. Manzo e marzala. OMG. It was like beef stew but better. Great for a cold night like tonight. It hit the spot. This place makes some of the best Italian food i have had. I tried a few different things and they were all really good. I would bring my whole family here. I would definitively bring a date here. This place is awesome and they serve awesome food. I highly recommend it.

Place was slammed but food still came out very good! Oxtail ragu was top notch and wife got the chicken pasta dish. Dessert wasn't our cup of tea but overall still a very solid Italian spot to check out in Pittsburgh

This dinner was so good! We tried to book reservations but they were booked-for a good reason too! (So book really early if you are coming to the area!) They do accept walk-ins (5 tables outside on sidewalk-we had about a 45 min wait). The gnocchi was the biggest gnocchi (see photo) I’ve ever had and it was delicious. The meatballs were gigantic and also great! Red blend of wine was delicious, bread was super soft and crispy on the edges! Would also recommend the Brussel sprouts! Service was great-servers were friendly and efficient.

This was our 3rd time being here, but didn't have a pleasant experience. First, the whole restaurant was so noisy on weekday evening. This place was packed by putting more than 50 people in one room. People had to talk extremely loud even there's no music. I think this maybe the "eatery" vibe they pursue. Therefore , this is definitely not a place for a date. Second, we were there for the half chicken since we had very good impressions on last visits. Unfortunately, they changed the seasoning and the side. The chicken was over cooked, dry, and salty. The rapini was totally burnt and bitter. Thanks to our server, Mandi, she managed to order nonburnt broccoli after my feedback. Third, the meatballs always taste great except the bowl they used had chips around the rim. I hope they use better bowls to serve customers than chipped ones. The main reason I'm willing to go there again is the 1.5lb sirloin. Our family was surprised that the steak cooked beautifully. Hoping the steak will stay on the menu and the half chicken will get improved.

FINALLY got a table at the place everyone talks. Did it live up to the hype - I’m not so sure. The gnocchi were excellent and meatballs too. I found the options limited - not to say i want the typical Italian restaurant with the same old choices and too many options. Their sauce was very good. It was very noisy and crowded. Making it hard to hear any conversation at our table. The staff was friendly but never checked in to see how the food was or if we needed anything else. I thought the appetizer options were limited; we wanted side salads however they appeared to be priced as an entree salad which ruled out the decision. Again the gnocchi were the best ive had in a long time. Id probably rank them with quality of ravioli of a certain handmade pasta establishment in DC. I left wanting more.
