The whole DJ Connection company was extremely professional and easy to work with throughout our planning process. The website for choosing songs and planning our timeline was easy and intuitive to use. We were particularly impressed that the several different people we spoke to throughout the planning process all knew exactly what was going on (even if we had never spoken before) and were extremely helpful with all of our questions. DJ Willy Will was our assigned DJ and did a fabulous job executing the plan. He was a great MC, handling announcements for the bridal party introductions and toasts with clarity and confidence. His help in managing our wedding timeline was also extremely valuable, keeping the flow of the evening perfectly on track. He played all the songs we had preselected, and his transitions between songs and genres were smooth and well-executed, maintaining a solid atmosphere throughout the night. The only thing we wish was different would have been having the opportunity to actually meet/speak to DJ Willy Will before the wedding day. While he performed brilliantly, we were barely able to speak to him the entire night due to the nature of the schedule. We highly recommend DJ Connection for their fantastic organizational structure and DJ Willy Will for his excellent execution and MC abilities.

SO many things went wrong at my wedding with my DJ and it was easily the worst vendor I paid money for. I paid extra to have the DJ come and set up a secondary sound system at the ceremony area so we could have our processional/recessional music and allow our officiant to have a microphone. Our DJ was extremely late (by an hour and 45 minutes) so there was no time for him to get everything set-up on time. When my coordinators called, the company kept giving them excuses like “oh the service is bad out there, maybe he’s there and you don’t see him” and “we can’t get ahold of him, we’ll keep trying” without offering to fix the situation completely. Our coordinators had to grab a speaker from their shed and play our music for us. Thank goodness I didn’t notice during the ceremony but it was so disheartening to pay extra and not have that accommodated. Then it was time for cocktail hour and the reception. I was willing to keep giving this DJ a chance because I understand that mistakes happen. But it continued to get significantly worse. During the dinner, the DJ was playing my post-dinner dance music when I specifically put in the portal that I wanted Bridgerton-style music (instrumental covers of popular songs). We also asked him to dismiss tables and he never even listen to us. Just continued to stand up on the stage and play the wrong music. He was spoke to multiple times by my coordinators with no changes. Eventually, myself and my husband had to dismiss tables so everyone could eat. I eventually sent my Maid of Honor to speak to him and he finally changed the music to what I had requested. Now… the dance… this is when I noticed what was really wrong with my DJ. I could tell something wasn’t right by the way he was acting and I noticed he was leaving multiple times throughout the night to go to his car and then come back. My coordinators also noticed this behavior and pointed it out to me at the beginning of the dance. Also, I specifically put on my portal that I wanted NO LINE DANCES and even mentioned them by name. The first song he played was The Cupid Shuffle and I was crushed. I knew he wasn’t following the script and it was a complete waste. I had to eventually go up there with my coordinators and beg him to just play what I asked for. He seemed confused why I was upset but reluctantly began playing the playlist I put together. On their portal. 3 months ago. He did good for about 40 minutes and then began playing the same songs over again. I had to go up to him AGAIN and tell him that we had already heard this song and he didn’t remember that the song he was playing was the same as 3 songs prior. At this point, I went to the patio to mingle because I couldn’t stand being in the same room as my DJ anymore. I also specifically stated that I didn’t want anyone to request songs and he allowed it without checking with me first. By the end of the night, I wanted him to leave so bad so we cut my wedding short and sent everyone home 30 minutes early. I think this company could be spectacular and could give many Brides what they’re looking for, but unfortunately, I didn’t receive what I was promised. This was the worst part of my wedding and I wish I would’ve done something different in the future. I would recommend doing more research before you commit to this company. Update: After my wedding, I spoke to the company 4 days later. When I explained the situation, they apologized, but seemed confused why I had that experience because the DJ they sent to us “has been with the company for awhile” and has never had a poor review until now. They couldn’t tell me exactly what went wrong and chalked it up as “the DJ must’ve been having a bad night”. I have a hard time accepting that as the reason when I had paid a lot of money for someone to basically not do their job. They offered me a refund of the ceremony space and a 25% refund of the reception, but I was asked to sign an NDA that stated that I had to take all of my reviews down and I was not allowed to speak/write/post poorly about the company. I didn’t sign it.

We had a great experience with DJ Connections for our wedding! The entire process for planning the big day was smooth. Their online portal was easy to use, allowing us to select songs, make edits, and adjust our timeline as our photography and wedding day schedules evolved. The production team was also wonderful to work with, quickly answering all our questions and walking us through the final details on our planning call to make sure every song, queue, and “must play” or “do not play” requests were noted. On the day of, our DJ, Emily, was fantastic. She arrived early, set up both our ceremony and reception spaces seamlessly, and worked closely with our coordinator to perfectly time every moment from the processional to the recessional. The music during cocktail hour and the reception was a huge hit; our guests had the best time dancing and celebrating! Emily was so much fun throughout the entire evening. She kept everything running on schedule while bringing such great energy to the dance floor. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and recommend DJ Connections (and especially Emily!) to anyone planning a wedding in Knoxville or the surrounding areas

We had a positive experience with DK from DJ Connection. They were very organized and communicative. We even received a friendship bracelet at the end of our wedding night, which was a sweet personal touch we appreciated! Highly recommended as a wedding DJ near Nashville, TN!

Loved working with everyone at DJ Connection! We sadly had a last minute change of plans and needed a DJ asap and DJ connection came to the rescue ! Each member we spoke to was professional, friendly, and respectful. Our event DJ was incredible and made sure the night went by smoothly, cued all the right songs at the right time and kept a great pace for the dance floor . We couldn’t have been happier with the service from start to finish.
